Noel's POV

"Uncle wants me to come visit him tomorrow" I told Damien who continued going through a herd of papers.

"When?" he asked causing me to look at him very shadily.

"Tomorrow I just said so, what are you so busy with?" It was very obvious he wasn't listening to me.

He stopped then looked at me.

"When are you going to come back?"

"Tomorrow or maybe the day after I don't know" He nodded.

"Well inform me of any changes okay?" he said.

"Roger"

I could tell he was a little stressed, I mean I would be too after all that I revealed and to think that wasn't even half of it.

Not wanting to add more to his stress I thought of leaving him alone but he stopped me.

I know, I'm such good company.

Not even two hours later I was downstairs, the very same man who stopped me from leaving was the one who chased me away because I couldn't stop talking.

I mean why stop me in the first place.

Damien is low key dramatic I tell you.

The next day in the morning as usual Damien dropped me off and went to the office.

I met up with Bella before she went off to attend her class.

Arriving at the class I thought I'd be greeted by a cold looking Asher but he was nowhere in sight.

He arrived ten minutes later overly covered. I get it, there was a little wind but it was not that strong.

He came and sat next to me.

"Why did you cover yourself so much?" I asked genuinely concerned.

"Leave me alone" Look at that everybody, stone cold Asher was back.

Usually I would shove away his rudeness and persist but today I was a little irritated.

The fact that interacting with Asher was like a barbie reveal kinda got to me. Like you didn't know which one you were gonna get but whichever you just had to roll with it, well not today.

The minute the class ended I went off to find Bella wanting us to take an early lunch.

"Like I don't get what his problem is. One time it's like okay maybe he's warming up to me that's good then the next you find out how absolutely wrong you were, it's frustrating man" I vented and Bella just looked unbothered while eating her grapes leaning on the chair.

"Okay why does it feel like you  don't care?" I asked then she sat upright.

"Noel I did tell you to stay away from Asher, that boy is bad news" There's the warning again.

"You keep on saying that, could you please tell me why"

It looked like she was fighting a lot of things and eventually she won.

"Come closer" I did as instructed.

"Okay so last year Asher was investigated because of murder"

What?!

"Murder?? Who did he kill?" I asked my voice raised a little.

"Keep it down, do you want everyone to hear us?" she instructed.

"Alright sorry, why was he investigated?"

"In the indoor pool area, a girl was found dead with Asher inside. A report said that her head was smashed into a hard object multiple times and that lead to her death but before that she was raped" I interrupted her.
