((Nightwing/Dick's POV))

"E-Emma?"

She nodded as her beautiful blueish grey eyes filled with tears. "I've missed you so much."

She leapt forward and wrapped her arms around my neck. I didn't hesitate to hug her back and she buried her face into the crook of my neck.

I felt her warm tears hit my skin and held her tighter.

"I suggest you step away from the boy, Nuit." A cold voice rang out. "Unless your going to kill him."

Emma pulled away from me and turned to Deathstroke, eyes full of pure hatred.

"You told me he was dead." she growled clutching her fists.

"I thought he would be by now." He said looking past her at me for a brief second. "Now get over here. We have more work to do."

"No. I'm done working for you Slade. I'm tired of doing your dirty work, and just plain listening to you."

"No one leaves the league of assassins alive." Deathstroke snarled pulling out his sword.

"You and that stupid sword." Emma commented rolling her eyes.

He started to approach us and I got ready to fight but Emma stayed in her normal stance.

"I'm glad you have a healing factor Slade, because if you didn't I might feel bad for this." Emma said pulling a gun out of a holster on her hip and aiming at his head.

She fired a shot which he easily deflected with a chuckle. "Do you honestly think you can beat me Emma? There's a reason I'm in charge."

"Really cause I just though Ra's felt bad for you."

He growled and ran at us. Emma and I dived out of the way and she pulled the trigger several more times. He deflected them all and went after her.

I started to help her fight him off but he managed to knock me down.

I tried to get back up but he slammed his elbow into my head and I started to see black spots.

"Hey Slade!"

I saw Emma's foot come up and knock his mask off his face before a loud shot sounded and a body fell against the container.

"Dick!" Emma's concerned voice rang in my ears before I finally blacked out.

I woke up in my bed and glanced around in confusion.

Was it a dream?

A hand rested on my shoulder and I jumped grabbing the persons arm and looking up.

"Easy, you could have a concision." Emma said softly pushing me back down against my pillows.

"So it wasn't a dream... your alive." I muttered gently touching her cheek.

"As alive as I'll ever be." She said smiling softly.

"How? I watch you fall."

"Thalia al Ghul 'saved' me." she said placing air quotes around saved. "She brought me to the League of Assassins base camp as a prisoner and I met Ra's al Ghul... They told me you died. That you fell in after me and drown." I gently brushed away the tear that escaped her eye. "They convinced me to join by using my anger and vengeance against me. They trained me for two years straight and then I was assigned to be Slade's partner and I took on the name Nuit."

I sat up and pulled her closer to me letting my lips gently brush hers. She instantly responded by wrapping her arms around my neck, deepening the kiss.

She straddled my waist and I placed my hands on her hips, savouring the feeling of her lips on mine. I licked her bottom lip and she opened her mouth almost instantly.

The floor boards creaked and Emma pulled away throwing a knife at full force toward my now open bedroom door.

Barbara sat there staring at the knife lodged in the wall by her head in bewilderment before turning her attention back to me with my equally shocked expression.

"Well if it isn't Barbara Gordon." Emma said getting off me and crossing her arms over her chest. "What the hell happened to you?"

"She was shot by the Joker and paralyzed." I explained snapping out of my daze.

"Really? At least he did something good." she commented pulling the knife out of the wall as she went to pass Barbara. "I mean good like your not dead of course."

Barbara and I glanced at each other before I quickly stood up to follow Emma.

"Who the hell is that!?" Barbara hissed trailing after me in her wheelchair.

"Aww you don't recognize me Babs?" Emma said fake pouting.

"Emma please-" I started giving her a slight glare.

"Emma!? Emma Wayne!?" Barbara exclaimed in shock, cutting me off. "But your-"

"Dead? Yeah I know, and it's Tyson. Not Wayne." She growled out the last part with a glare.

"How!?"

"I was saved by Thalia al Ghul and forced to join the league of assassins, yada yada yada. Now I'm back." she explained rolling her eyes.

She was still in shock and I sighed. "Maybe you should head home and get some rest Barbara."

"Good idea." she mumbled before heading to the main door and leaving.

"You know she actually seems nicer now." Emma muttered watching the door close. "It's a shame about the whole wheelchair thing tho. I prefer the Barbara that could fought back."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion at her sudden change of mood but she just continued to explore my apartment.

"Nice place for a cop." she said glancing back at me.

"How'd you know I was-"

"Hey, just because I spent three years on a tech less island doesn't mean I can't hack a few systems. Especially your police stations. Blüdhaven needs to step up their game."

I smiled a little and wrapped my arms around her waist from behind. "That's the Emma I remember."

She chuckled and overlapped my hands with her own. "What the nerdy one that always makes a fool of herself?"

"When have you ever made a fool of yourself?" I questioned.

"Let's see... When I nearly got shot, when I did get shot-"

"Twice."

She glared at me over her shoulder. "Yes twice. When I fought Aqualad three years ago, when you caught me checking myself out in the mirror-"

"Oh yeah! I forgot about that." I chuckled tightening my grip on her. "You looked really good in that unitard..."

"I thought I looked better with it off tho." she smirked turning in my arms to face me.

She pulled my head down and connected our lips again resuming our previous make out.

We both pulled away for air and I rested my forehead against hers.

"Dick..."

"Hmm?"

"I still love you."

"I never stopped loving you."
