I woke up to the sound of wind. Josh was next to me, and I didn't want to wake him too. I looked outside and everything was being blown around.

The hell?

"Well, good morning." Josh said tiredly.

"Look." I said to him, pointing to the window.

"Woah!" Josh exclaimed.

We both got up and walked to the window. The clouds were dark grey and the trees were going haywire.

"Looks like a storm is coming. Lets get dressed and check the news." Josh said. We both got dressed and started to go downstairs.

"Wait, I need to brush my fur." I said

"Okay, see you downstairs."

Minutes later I was downstairs, all nice and neat. We sat on the couch and turned on the weather channel. A fox was standing in front of a screen with the Doppler radar thing on it.

"This storm seems to have come out of nowhere. Expect winds of up to 60 MPH and heavy rain." he said. Me and Josh looked at each other with the wind blowing loudly.

It stopped all of a sudden. I looked at the window; everything was calm. I then looked at the TV. A commercial was playing, only to ne interrupted by the weather channel to come on.

"We haven't seen anything like this before! The storm vanished just as quick as it came. The clouds are there, but the storm itself is gone!" the weatherfox (lol) shouted.

"Well...it's the last day of summer. Whatcha wanna do?" Josh asked.

"My mom is coming home in a few hours I presume." I responded.

"Oh, cool!"

"Yeah.."

We watched some more TV.

"Wanna go back to the park?" Josh asked.

"Yeah, okay.

We got our shoes on and headed out. Josh seems to like the park apparently. It was cloudy, which was good, meaning it wouldn't be so hot. We decided to roll down the (huge) hill because it was the last day of summer and why not? When I was my turn, I went down really damn fast. Fast enough that I crashed into Josh. We laughed it off and went to the swings. Good ol' swings.

We both got on different swings and started pumping out legs. After a half hour of that, we decided to go back to my house. To my surprise, I saw a car that looked familiar. My mom's car. Mom is home.

"She's home." I said to Josh before running over to the car.

"Hi, Dominic!" my mom said.

"Hi, mom." I said back.

"Who's this?" she asked, looking at Josh.

"Oh, this is Josh. He moved in a couple days ago." I answered.

Josh waved. "Hi."

"Nice to meet you, Josh."

"You too."

Mom went inside and turned on the TV.

"Well, I should be getting home." Josh said.

"Aw. Well, have a good final day of summer." I said.

"You too." he said back.

We kissed a little before he left, only after I made sure Mom couldn't see us. We both went separate ways. I decided to go up to my room and sleep a bit more. I couldn't wait for school.

AN: I'm super sorry that this chapter is short! But some things: I plan on making this story into a series! I already have ideas for future stories for said series, which should be great. That windstorm that appeared will become extremely relevant if everything is to go to the current plot I have planned. Whoa, the suspense. ;) Also, same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states! Yes, I know this happened like over a week ago. But still, it's GREAT news! And thank you for almost 200 reads! It feels nice knowing people actually read what I write! xD    Hope you enjoyed this (short >.<) chapter! <3
