Blast from the past

It was early in the morning when the Earthbound Autobots arrived at Dino-Drive, a new educational theme park that Sumdac Systems was working on. Daniel and his parents were there to greet them. Daniel: "Welcome to Dino-Drive guys, if you want to learn about prehistory, this is the place." soon, they went into the park and see the large dinosaur robots, which were in enclosures that represent what their home was like in their time. Spike: "The Dinosaurs were by far the most famous prehistoric animals that ever walked the earth, and the only way to study them was by their bones." Bulkhead: "Well why not just study the live ones?" Carly: "They died out long before the first humans appeared, which was 65 million years ago." Ratchet: "Ha, we Cybertronians have been around for over 10 billion years." Spike: "Well I'm sure glad that they're not around anymore, the real ones would most likely too dangerous to be near populated areas like this, heck there's even a move franchise about it." Carly: "You mean Jurassic Park?" Spike: "You got it." Optimus Prime: "Even so, these creatures were mighty big for organic life forms." Sari: "No kidding, I'll bet that even the Decepticons would have a hard time with them..." Prowl: "Yes, yet they're a real sight to behold..." then there was trouble, Bulkhead started to lean on a tree that a Pteranodon robot was on and started to fall down, causing the robot to fall right on top of a Triceratops robot, then crashed into a T-Rex robot, causing three of the dinosaur robots to turn into a scrap heap. Bulkhead: "Um... oops." Daniel: "It's okay Bulkhead, at least no one got hurt." Spike: "That's for sure, and they were in need of an upgrade anyway..." Carly: "Next time though, don't lean on something that can't handle your weight." Bulkhead: "Noted..." much later, three of the ruined robotic dinosaurs were in Sumdac's lab, while the professor was out for the moment, Megatron was looking at them. Megatron: "Impressive if they weren't so primitive, still this human has the means to create the robotic body I need, he just needs the proper guidance." about that time, Professor Sumdac walked in, looking at the robots. Professor Sumdac: "Oh I don't know why I even bother fixing them as everyone knows about the dinosaurs." Megatron: "Oh but I did not." Professor Sumdac: "Well everyone but you... [gasped loudly] wait... you... you spoke!" Megatron: "Where... where am I?" Professor Sumdac: "You're in my lab, in the city of Detroit, on the planet earth... um... well it's a long story." Megatron: "Well since it looks like I won't be going anywhere anytime soon, I have plenty of time for a long story." some time later, Professor Issac Sumdac told Megatron about how he found him and how he used his circuits to create his robotic empire. While the Decepticon leader was not pleased to learn that the professor had been reverse engineering his own circuits, he knows better than to show anger, plus he knows that it could help him get a body again. Professor Sumdac: "And so that's how I found you and how your friends became heroes, the Autobots are your friends right?" Megatron: "Oh we have quite a history." Professor Sumdac: "I always feared what they would do if they were to learn the truth of where my robotics empire came from, though I suppose now that you're online, it's probably time to tell them." Megatron: "Actually, I would appreciate it if we kept my presence a secret for the time being, the events that lead to my current state are uh... embarrassing to say the least, besides, the Autobots would be more respective to learning the source of your robotic empire when they see you have repaired one of their greatest 'comrades', correct?" Professor Sumdac: "I guess so, uh... what was your name again?" Megatron: "Call me... Megatronus." Professor Sumdac: "Well as much as I want to repair you Megatronus, I fear that I won't have the time due to other um... certain robots that need repairs too." said the professor, looking at the damaged dinosaur robots. Megatron: "Then perhaps I can lend a hand, so to speak." some time later, the robotic dinosaurs were finished, and they have been upgraded to be more durable and a bit more mobile thanks to Megatron's help, or Megatronus as the professor known him as. Little did he knew was that Megatron has plans with the dinosaur robots as attack drones. Later as night came at Dino-Drive, Professor Sumdac was unveiling the new and improved robotic dinosaurs to the public. Professor Sumdac: "Ladies and gentlemen, oh and Autobots of course, I like to present to you... the Dinobots!" as soon as he pressed a button on a remote, the Dinobots reveled themselves and everyone was amazed on how realistic they were. Suddenly, the eyes of the Dinobots started to glow red, before they started to attack, and the Autobots had to help the civilians to evacuate the area while they fight off the robotic dinosaurs. Ratchet: "Bumblebee, let's try combining your electricity with my magnetism, that should create an electromagnetic pulse that shut these things down!" Bumblebee: "Yeah, let's try it!" so that's what they did, and that's when Daniel's key started to glow and pulling him closer to the Autobots. Daniel: "Hey guys!, I think my key wants to help!" he said, before the boy inserted his key into Bumblebee, causing his electric blaster to have a power boost. The blast caused the skins of the Dinobots to come off, revealing the more basic structure underneath, along with shutting them down. Professor Sumdac: "I don't know what went wrong, I'll have to take them apart and reprogram them again." Prowl: "Isn't that a bit extreme?" Professor Sumdac: "Not really, as these are not alive as you are." Sari: "Yeah, it would be kind of grim, being locked away in a lab if they were alive like us." suddenly, they heard a voice, one they never heard before, and what really shocked them was that it came from the T-Rex Dinobot (voiced by David Kaye). T-Rex: "Grim... lock... grim... lock... me Grimlock." Bumblebee: "Uh... did you designed them to talk?" Professor Sumdac: "No... I did not!, how is that possible?" Sari: "Uh... I'm more worried about that the Dinobots are moving again!" said Sari, seeing that the other Dinobots was back online, but then noticed something glowing in Grimlock's (the T-Rex Dinobot) body. Sari: "What's that?" Prowl: "That's... that's a spark!" Bumblebee: "How is that possible?!" Ratchet: "The key's power must have given the Dinobots their own sparks." Bulkhead: "So does that mean they're alive as we are?" Ratchet: "Yes." the Triceratops Dinobot started to snarl a little. Sari: "That one sure can snarl." that was when they heard the second Dinobot (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) spoke. Triceratops Dinobot: "Snarl... me Snarl." he grunted in response. The last Dinobot, which was the Pteranodon, begins to swoop around the area, which really annoyed Captain Fanzone for sure. Captain Fanzone: "This is why I hate machines, especially the kind that swoops down on ya!" that was when the Pteranodon Dinobot (voiced by Bumper Robinson) spoke up. Pteranodon Dinobot: "Swoop... me Swoop!" screeched the third Dinobot, before he unleashes fire from his beak, which really surprised everyone. Daniel: "Uh grandpa... is there a reason why you gave them fire breath?" Professor Sumdac: "Well... I might have thought I tried making robots that have interesting abilities as the Autobots, but now I think the fire breath was not the best idea..." Daniel: "You think?" that was when Grimlock let out a mighty roar and looked like he was ready for a challenge. Bumblebee: "So how much do you wanna bet the one in the middle is the leader?" Grimlock: "Me Grimlock... leader!" roared Grimlock, and the other two Dinobots nodded in agreement. Grimlock: "Me Grimlock greatest leader of all!" Bumblebee: "Ha, I'm sure Optimus Prime here makes a better leader than you." this made Grimlock growled and took a step forward. Grimlock: "Then me Grimlock challenge Optimus Prime, winner be leader!" this made Bumblebee gulped a little as everyone else glared at him. Bumblebee: "Oh boy... me and my big mouth..." Sari: "Hold on!, if you want to fight Optimus... you'll have to beat me first." Grimlock: "You?" Sari: "Yes, tell you what, if we win, you and the other Dinobots learn to be good and let Optimus Prime stay as the leader here." Grimlock: "But if me Grimlock win?" Sari: "If you win... you'll get to be leader." Grimlock: "Me Grimlock accept challenge." Bumblebee: "Uh, shouldn't we have a saying in this?" Ratchet: "I don't like this any more than you, but it might be the only way to keep the Dinobots from doing any more damage." so the battle between Sari and Grimlock began, and it was intense as Grimlock was very strong, but not as fast as Sari was and she can also fly too. Then in a flash, Sari used her legs to give Grimlock a good kick on the side of his head, knocking him down to the ground. Grimlock: "Oh... okay... me Grimlock lost..." Sari: "Oh yeah!, Sari 1, Grimlock 0!" Bumblebee: "You gotta admit... she's good." the professor nodded in agreedment. Professor Sumdac: "I just wish I knew what to do with them, I mean it's obvious that they're not mindless machines anymore..." Ratchet: "Well there's no way we're taking them back to base." Daniel: "No, the only place that would good for a dinosaur would be an island... wait... grandpa, isn't there an island in the middle of Lake Erie?" Professor Sumdac: "Why yes there is." Daniel: "Then I think I know a good place for us to put the Dinobots." the next day, the Autobots were on an island that was located in the middle of Lake Erie, where they watched the Dinobots roam around the massive forest. Bulkhead: "They do look really happy here." Prowl: "Indeed, they won't do any damage to the city here." Sari: "And maybe one day we could get them to aid us whenever we need their help." Optimus Prime: "Well I don't know if we really can relay on them..." Sari: "Hey, you let me be part of the team, and it's better to have more allies than enemies." Bumblebee: "I'm with her on that." Daniel: "Me too." Optimus Prime: "Well... I suppose you're right... now then... let's transform and roll back to base." said the Autobot repair crew leader, before he and the others transformed and left the island.
