The next time they all opened their eyes. The colossal titans had disappeared. Actually, all the titan's had disappeared. The titan shifters looked at each other, they were all in their human forms, they stared at their hands and their bodies. In curiosity, Annie took out her ring with a needle and pinched herself. Blood came out, but no steam.

"We are... human... only human." Annie said.

Armin ran to where Lexie was, laying on the ground. She had her eyes closed.

"Lexie..." Armin called worriedly. Lexie didn't answer.

Panic rose in Armin's body as he reached a shaking hand to her face, his eyes already watering. Finally, Lexie took a deep breath, Amrin sighed in relief. Lexie opened her eyes and looked at Armin, she smiled a little. Armin returned her smile, happy tears in his eyes. He quickly helped her up. She looked shocked that she actually managed to do it.

"It's... gone. All titans are gone." Lexie said in a happy tone.

"We're... free." Eren said, not believing it himself. He smiled and then laughed. "We're free!" He repeated louder. Soon everyone was smiling and laughing too.

"Eren?" He turned at the wound of his name to see Mikasa, their eyes met and then she ran at him, Eren caught her and spun her around before kissing her deeply.

Sasha, Connie and Jean all hugged too, Sasha and Connie jumping up and down and Jean being dragged into it.

Shadis and Hange approached Levi and helped him up.

"Do you think they were watching?" Levi asked Hange, thinking about all the comrades they had lost.

"I know they were." Hange comforted. They were approached by Zeke then.

"If it makes you feel better, you helped end the Beast Titan, as well as all the titans." Zeke said to Levi.

"You are not out of the woods yet, monkey." Levi threatened taking a dangerous step towards him, blade in hand.

"I know." Zeke said. "And to be fair, I won't fight you anymore. I won't fight anyone. Lexie had the right idea with Ymir, death is peaceful, right?"

Levi's eyes widened slightly at that. It was true, after all, the reason he had chosen Armin to be the holder of the Colossal on the first place was for Erwin to rest. And now Zeke wanted to rest too? He didn't deserve it.

"You don't deserve peace." Levi said. "You'll be a prisoner and you will live a long horrible life until I decide to give you the mercy of death. Although, I am not the merciful type."

Zeke's eyes widened in horror, he was really aiming to be relieved of the suffering of living with his guilt, but Levi saw through that, so now, he'd have to bear his sins for the rest of his longer-than-expected life.

From the Fort, many people came, being led by general Magath and Secretary Muller from Marley military. The people where the same Eldiands from Liberio's internment zone, they were alive.

"Dad?" Annie called in shock.

"Annie." He called lovingly and she ran to embrace him too.

"Reiner!"

"Mom!"

"Dad!"

"Pieck!"

Families hugged each other and cried. Relieved it was finally over. General Magath and Secretary Muller approached Lexie and Armin, who still held each other.

"What happened?" General Magath asked.

"Titans are gone. They don't exist anymore and won't return ever. The curse has been broken." Lexie said with a big smile.
