49. Calling all the Titans

Back in the fort, Gabi, Falco, general Magath, Yelena and Onyankopon watched with attention as the titans ran into a safe distance. Gabi was the first to turn to the people in the fort, she easily recognized her parents.

"Mom! Dad!" Gabi yelled and ran to her family. Falco and General Magath turned too. It was true, the eldians from the Interment Zone of Liberio were all there. The families of the titan shifters were safe.

"Gabi. What is happening?" A blonde woman asked her.

"Aunt Karina, the people from Paradis are helping us. They didn't start the Rumbling, it was goddess Ymir, but they are all going to stop her now!" Gabi told her aunt and everyone around them.

"It is true." General Magath confirmed Gabi's words. "The eldians from Paradis are our allies."

The last lightning made then turn their attention back to the group of titan shifters and scouts. Lexie's titan was a bit different, her face looked a bit hollower and he was now 100 meters tall.

As soon as she transformed, she looked around, noticing just how tall she was. Even Armin's colossal titan barely reached her chest.

"Holy shit, she's big." Pieck said.

The Founder titan suddenly brought her hand to hear head and closed her eyes as if in pain. The titan shifters stood in their places, watching intently.

"She's fighting Ymir in her head." Hange guessed, earning a nod from Eren's titan.

And then, the Founder Titan let out a loud roar and moved her first up, ready to strike down.

"Move!" Zeke said as Lexie's fist came down too close to Pieck and Porco.

"Lexie's not in control!" Jean yelled.

"Mikasa, Levi, use your thunder spears, aim for her legs, make her fall!" Hange ordered.

Eren, using the ability of the War Hammer titan, created spikes from the floor all around the group, tall enough for the scouts to be able to use their ODM gear.

Levi and Mikasa used one thunder spear each, one for each of Lexie's titan's legs, but Lexie -or Ymir- only stumbled a bit.

"That did nothing!" Commandant Shadis said.

"Do something!" Connie said to the shifters.

"We can't." Pieck said. "None of us can defy her."

"Everyone. The shifters can't attack her, we have to bring her down!" Hange yelled.

"Sir!" The scouts answered and shot around the columns created by Eren.

"Warriors... and Eren and Armin, we have to hold her down once she falls." Zeke told the titan shifters.

The shifters had no idea what they could accomplish, Lexie said something about them holding hands, but that was just childish. Although, maybe touching her could help. Lexie's titan tried to kick the scouts away, but they dodged. They shot almost all their thunder spears into her legs and she was indeed stumbling, although she wouldn't fall.

I can't hurt you, Lexie. Armin thought to himself. I can't even make any move to fight you. I can't... I can't lose you. Armin was very conflicted, and Ymir was also not letting them hurt the Founder Titan. Armin thought about it. There had to be a loop, if he thought hard enough... Maybe a friendly thought instead. What if he grabbed the Founder to help her instead of attacking her? I have to stop Ymir from hurting you... I am going to hold you down so the scouts stop hurting you.

With that decision, it was Armin's colossal who shot forward first, arms around Lexie's titan's waist, tackling her down. The shock from the Founder was enough to drop her hold on the other shifters. They quickly all got in motion. They all each did their best to hold down the Founder Titan's limbs. The scouts shot up and forward too, cutting the Founder Titan as much as they could to weaken it.
