Chapter 8

Touya pov

Time skip to the day they are going to visit rei (this is one almost one month after ochako found out that touya was a todoroki and proposed to help him reveal to his family that he is actually not dead)

I was sleeping peacefully when someone knocked on my door. At first I thought I could ignore whoever it was and sleep peacefully until it was time for class. "Toko San better open up or all your secrets will be out" i could recognize that voice anywhere, it was for sure- Ochako. "What do you want??" I ask her again. "Open the door and I'll tell you what" she said again. Finally I gave up and up to the door and opened it. She came in not even waiting to be invited in.

"Today class is canceled cause the pros are busy, some villains to deal with, I guess" she said sitting on a chair in the corner. "So what?? And what are you already dressed it's only-" "10 in the morning. Is that what you were gonna say" she asked cutting me off. "What!! It's already 10" I ask her and in return she just hums.

She tells me to get dressed and takes out her phone and starts doing, god knows what. While she is playing with her phone I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, took a shower and change in to a light blue hoodie and white cargo pants. Then I went out to see that she hadn't even moved from where she was sitting. After a few seconds, when she seemed to finally realize my presence, she looked up and asked " You done??" To which I just nodded. She then pulled me outside to which I didn't resist at all.

When we reached outside I finally asked her "So what are we going??" She turned to me with a look of disbelief and asked "did you forget already?? You said we could go meet your mother when we had a day off, which we had today. And also aizawa sensei asked me take you to mei Chan for your hero costume since you will be a pro in almost 2 months." "Oh, it's not that I forgot. It's just that I still have to clear my head of the good sleep which you ruined. But alas, just lead way brat" I rely which she obviously shrugged off and started laughing. After she was done with her laughing I ask her where we were going first. She just ignored me and pulled me to the UA school building and took me inside to a room I had never visited.

The room was filled with tools, machines and even wire which if not not careful could either trip you or shock you. In middle of the room there was a girl with pink hair and weird glasses. "So are you the one that needed a hero costume?" She asked pointing to me and I nodded a yes. "And how do you want it?" She asked again. I thought for a moment and finally said "a black jumpsuit like costume with a zip on the front and you can also add some blue. It should be both fire and ice resistant and near the wrist can I have a small shooter like device which can fire plasma."

She looked like she was making a mental note of what I had just said and then asked " what's your quirk??" "Ice" I reply to which she gave a confused look and asked "if your quirk is ice why do you want your suit to be fire resistant?" Ochako looked like she was searching for an excuse to answer that question. "Because what if the villain I'm dealing with has a fire quirk, wouldn't it burn my costume?" I asked the pink haired girl. I could hear ochako let out a sigh of relief. "I guess that can happen. Well the day after tomorrow, come here to collect your costume" the girl said with a small grin.

Me and ochako say bye to her and left. "So, next we're going to meet my mother right?" I ask ochako who was now walking in front of me. "Yes. A cab will be here is 2 minutes so let's wait." She said replying my question earlier. And like she said the cab reached in front of UA and we entered it. "Please take us to ____ hospital" Ochako told the driver and he started to drive. The drive was short and peaceful. None of us made any sound.

20 minutes later

The cab stopped in front of the hospital. I paid and we both got off. We started walking but my eyes caught something, something I felt was very beautiful and that mother would love - blue roses. I went towards the guy who was selling flowers and bought a bouquet of blue roses. When I returned back to where the cab had dropped us off ochako asked me if it was for my mother. I said yes and we both together headed towards the reception. She asked the lady who was sitting in the reception, which room my mother was (means she asked in which room rei todoroki was). The lady was polite and showed us the room and walked us till the entrance of the room. The lady then knocked and told my mother that she had a visitor.

"Go inside. I will wait for you here" Ochako told me while shoving me into the room. Mother looked at me curiously not knowing who I was. I slowly walk towards her and put the bouquet on her lap and took few steps back. First she slowly inspected the flower on her lap but the began to caressing it's petals making sure not to damage it. Then she slowly mouths the words My baby, which made her tear up a bit. Her gesture right now confused me but before I could ask her-"Who are you?" She asked to which in return I smiled at her. "You look like you could be my child but I know what all my kids look like, they come to visit me every now and then" she spoke again. But I just stood there admiring how beautiful my mother looked holding the blue roses I gave her earlier. For a few minutes we stood there in silence.

In the end I finally broke the silence and asked "does your oldest also come visit you??." "My oldest?? Of course. She comes here twice a week " She answer. I just smile and tell her " I'm not talking about fuyumi." She looks at me weirdly but then understood what I meant. She then starts tearing up and says " he is dead, so of course he doesn't come. But that doesn't answer my question. Who are you?" I walk towards her and bend so I could reach her face. I wipe the tears from her face with my thumb and then asked " what if touya wasn't dead?"

With that she understood who I was and pulled me into a hug, calling my name in between whimpers. I let out a small hum every time she calls my name. Then I slowly pat her back while telling her to calm down and that I had returned for good.

Few minutes later she calmed down and slowly pulls away from the hug. "Are you really Touya?" She ask me feeling a little uncertain, after all for her touya todoroki had died years ago. "Of course I am, who else could I be?" I ask her. Hearing this She slowly cups my cheeks in her hand and place a small kiss on my forehead. God! How much I had missed this.
