Chapter 1

A/N: Im making Lawrence seem like a cute small town in Kansas even though I know its really not that small and theres a lot of space so hope ya like! Oh and Michael, which you can already probably tell by the picture, is young John and will always be in all of my fanfics. And Meg is the one from the later seasons and Ruby is Ruby #2.

Michael's POV
We pulled into the drive way of our new house. "Welcome to Lawrence, Kansas, boys." Balthazar said as he turned the car off.

"The guys already brought everything over so just find the boxes with the painting stuff in them. Or dont paint it if you dont wanna." Balthazar said.

"I call dibs on biggest room!!" Castiel said as he jumped out of the car and ran into the house.

I sighed. Balthazar hesitated a moment and then said "Im not going to give you false hope Michael but I just hope itll be better this time around. Only one more year and then youre off to college." He patted me on the shoulder and we sat in silence for a moment. "Come on, lets go check out the house. I think youll like it." He said. I nodded and we got out of the car and went into the house.

I closed the door behind me and started to look around the house. The house was huge (the one in the picture). Just becuase Balthy was a big time laywer and he could afford it, doent mean he shouldve gotten it. As I got into the house, I walked into a very wide hallway like area. Lots and lots of boxes were in this area. Infront of me but to the right is a dark wooden staircase. I can see from where im standing there is a room that has already been opened, i assume by Castiel, at the top of the stiairs. To the left of the stair case im assuming is a closet. On the left wall is a wide door way that leads into the living room. I glance into the living room and it has a tall granite fireplace, Wow!! I thought, and it is a very wide space. I go over to the door that's on the right wall near the staircase and open it. Through there is the dining room and kitchen. The dining room already has our table and chairs. The kitchen has our refrigerator and stove and microwave in place. It also has an island. Through the kitchen is a bathroom. I dont bother going in there and I go back to the entryway and up the stairs. I check the room at the top of the stairs. A bedroom. It is very big. Well Castiel isnt in here so im assumig there are larger rooms. I walk in and there are two other doors in the room. I go to the one on the left wall from the door. Its a bathroom. My own bathroom?! Sweet!! Then I check the other door and its a closet. I heard footsteps and I turned around. It was Castiel. "You found a better room than this?!" I asked in disbelief becuase he said he called the biggest room.

"Nah I picked the one at that end of the hall." He said pointing his thumb to the left. "I thought id let you have the bigger one."

I smiled at my younger bother. "Thank you Castiel."

"Youre welcome Michael." He smiled and left the room.

I went back down the stairs to grab the boxes with the plastic tarps and paints. I went through the boxes that said 'Michael' and looked for clothes to wear while i painted my room. I grabbed an old pair of jeans, an old tee shirt, my blue paint, a tarp to cover my floor, a paint tray, painters tape, and a paint roller. I went back up stairs to my new room and set my stuff down to change into my 'painting clothes'. I threw the clothes I was wearing into the bathroom. I moved all my stuff into the hall and put down the tarp over my floor, then took the painters tape and taped around the baseboards, the ceiling, the outlets, and the light switch. I opened the windows then I opened and poured the paint into the paint tray and started to paint my room. I didnt bother with priming the walls first because I knew I could just repaint it if I needed to. Since the walls were originally white when I got here I only really needed to do one coat. After I finished painting and was cleaning up my painting mess, Balthazar came into my room. "Looks really nice Michael."
