Chapter 3

Lucifer's POV

*Flashback*
I walked into the Sweet Shoppe with Raphael and Zachariah. I automatically turned left to go down the first mini isle to find the bubble gum. They were out of watermelon flavor so we grabbed four packs each of original, green apple, and grape for the whole baseball team for our first practice of the season tomorrow. We turned and went down the second isle and turned to go check out. Then I ran right into someone, not knowing or caring at that moment who it was I yelled "Hey! Watch where youre going!"

He looked scared and apologized, "I am so sorry!".

I paused to look at him. He looks like a pretty nice kid. And pretty cute. I thought but just went along with it because other people were around. "Yea you better be" I said. I heard Garth say something to the guy I ran into but just kept going on with what I was doing.

We payed for the bubble gum and I took Raph and Zach home, then drove home myself. When I got home I grabbed my bag and went into the laundry room since I slept over at Zach's. I put my clothes into the washer and opened the door to walk out of the room but tripped on a string tied on the doorway."Gabriel!! How many times do I have to tell you to quit it with the tricks?!" I said as I was standing up. I stood up and walked around the corner and standing there was Gabriel with his smirk that ge always has when he's pulled another prank.

"You like that one?" He asked with his smirk still on his face.

I thought about charging after him like the last time but instead I thought about that kid I ran into at the Sweet Shoppe. "Im lettin' you off the hook this time."

Gabriel was surprised. "Wow, wow, wait a minute. Lettin' me off the hook? Since when?"

"Ive just got other things to worry about" I said, because it wasn't necessarily a lie.

Not buying it, he said "Man, what happened at Zach's place?"

"Nothing! Now beat it!" I yelled at him. He looked a but scared and sad. He backed off and tunred to go to his room. I was going to call him back but he'd already gone up the stairs so I went back up to my room.

I sat my bag next to my dresser and collapsed on my bed. He looked so scared when he ran into me. But who doesnt? But he looked new. Id never seen him before so why was he scared? He might just be a really polite guy. Or Garth told him who I am. I thought some more about him and lost track of time. The was a knock on my door. "Luci, Anna says dinner's ready." He sounded sad.

I started to hear him walk away but I called him back. "Wait Gabriel come in here!" I heard him stop then walk back towards the door. He opened the door and closed it behind him and just stood there. I scooted my self over and pat the spot next to me for him to sit down. He took the offer and sat next to me. "Listen, Gabe about earlier, I shouldn't have yelled at you."

"Why did you?"

"I didnt want you to find out about what was on my mind."

"What was it?"

"A guy." I said with my head down.

"A crush?"

"Yeah I guess."

"Luci you know I dont care about that. Im gay for goodness sakes!" He laughed.

I laughed with him and then was serious again. "I know I know. Well now you know."

"So whats his name?" He asked with a smirk.

I smiled but dropped it. "I dont know actually. I just ran into him at the Sweet Shoppe. Now hes probably frightened of me."
