Chapter -4

WEIRDEST DAY

"You found it. Sorry but you know I can't make them. I am bad at baking.", Olivia.

"That's why you should learn to love the dessert. Just give it a try. The sweetness that explodes in your mouth, will make you feel tingling you stomach, and you heart feel filled. And every nerve of yours will give euphoric feeling. May be who knows? If you fall in love, you will get used to the sweetness. How about this? I knew a hot guy. He owns the cake shop. I will set you on the date this weekend. Tell me.", Clara asked throwing wink at Olivia.

Olivia sighed taking the plates, "Not again at this topic. You better clean up and come inside. It got chilly. Come quick." Said opening the door.

"Why? Just this once. Trust me. Who knows maybe you will get better at baking dessert. And there will be no need for me to go to the shops to buy the sweets. You both will bake for me ...Please" Clara said whining looking at her.

"You better clean up before I come here again." Olivia said glaring at Clara.

After few minutes, Clara cleaned up. They both read the books, chatted about Clara's parents and Olivia's grandma. Soon they fall asleep.

Next morning, Clara left saying she has some works. Olivia did her morning routines and had some breakfast. She returned to office once she visited her grandmom. When she went to her table, she sighed and cleaned up. It's been in mess since she left yesterday in such an hurry.

"Ms. Marchel, the senior manager is calling for you.", said Ms. Davis. Olivia nodded and left to meet Ms. Gilbert.

She took a deep breath before opening the door, "May I come in Ms. Gilbert?"

"Yes. Come in." ,Ms. Gilbert said looking her up and down.

"So Ms. Marchel, have you finished editing the documents I sent you yesterday?", Ms. Gilbert.

"Sorry , But I am still working on it." , Olivia said biting her lips.

"Those were given yesterday and you are still working on it?", Ms. Gilbert.

"Actually something came up yesterday and I left early.", Olivia said.

"You knew that they will be needed for tomorrow's meeting right?", Ms. Gilbert.

"I am sorry about that Ms. Gilbert.", Olivia said.

"You better finish that by today. I have better hopes in you. Don't let me down.", Ms. Gilbert said with disappointment.

"Yes I will", Olivia said giving apologetic look before leaving the room.

Olivia looked at the clock .It is 7.30 pm. Everyone has left. She was the last one in the office. She sighed and took the print outs and made one more copy. She placed those files with pen drive on the table of senior manager.

She waited for the bus. Clara said that she is going to stay with her parents tonight. 'What happened? There are very few people on the road.', she thought.

Soon the bus came. Even in the bus it has only 3 people. 'It is so weird', she said to herself.

She walked to her apartment. She took her dinner. There was an extra bottle of wine which Clara bought yesterday. 'Since we had very long day today. Let's have it', she thought and grabbed the bottle and glass went to her balcony. She looked at the sky . As usual dark sky with the glittering stars. She checked the clock it showed 10 pm. She called Clara. But the call couldn't be reached.

'What the hell? It shows no signal. Just a second before it was normal why?' she mumbled.

Looked at the sky. 'Do we have full moon today? But seems like just a weeks ago I saw it. James said something about geomagnetic storm. Is it today?' She said looking at the full moon.
