Elliot's words hung in the air. I had no idea how to react, or what to say. It wasn't what I was expecting, not at all.

"You don't have to lie to save my feelings. I'm a big girl I can handle rejection." I rambled as Elliot grabbed my face, he pulled my lips against his with the most tender kiss I'd ever had in my life.

"I love you Kara, that's not easy for me to admit to myself, let alone to you. I love you, damned if I know why sometimes, but I do." He leaned his forehead against mine while he held my face. "You make me crazy, but you make me a better man. I love you, I can try and fight it all I want, but I love you."

"I love you too Elliot. For the life of me I don't know why but I love you." I reached up pulling his lips into mine this time, I wanted to be lost in his lips forever, lost in this moment.

"I can't make any promises." He whispered, his lips almost touching mine while we caught our breath.

"I'd never ask you too. I just want you Elliot, as long as you come home to me, I'll be happy." Our moment was soon interrupted by crunching gravel behind us. We both turned around to see Parker and Hardison standing there staring.

"Parker I really think we're interrupting something." Hardison leaned against her motioning to us. It was fitting he'd be the one to interrupt the moment, he had a knack for that with us it would seem.

"Dammit Hardison" Elliot grumbled under his breath smiling. "Come on Parker I'll teach you to put a saddle on."

He smiled at me before leading Parker to the barn. She was oblivious to what they'd walked into to, just excited to be spending time with Elliot. Me and Hardison smiled watching them smile and talk waking to the barn. We both found joy in the way Parker experienced the world.

"What was that?" He asked as we slowly walked along the gravel taking out time so we could talk in private. I think he already had an idea of what he'd walked into but he'd never say it.

"I had accidentally started to say I love you in the car." I confessed kicking a rock afraid to look up.

"Good or bad outcome?" He asked continuing along with me. His tone of voice seemed almost giddy like he already knew. I'm pretty sure everyone but us realized we were in love.

"Good, really good." I answered smiling to myself. I felt like dancing along the entire way to the barn, but I held it in afraid of making things weird for Elliot.

"That's a big deal for him. I think you're good for him, I know you are for Parker." He replied smiling with me. He seemed to mean it, the way he looked up at Parker, once again proved just how much he loves her.

"They're good for me too. I like having someplace I belong." I smiled as we looked at Elliot and Parker in the corral, he was letting her pet the horse so she could get used to her. Parker was on cloud nine, and Elliot, he looked like a proud big brother.

"It's really great isn't it? You know, I've been in love with her since I met her. It took years for her to trust me enough to love me back." he beamed with his eyes locked on Parker. "She's one of those people that make life worth living."

We stood there watching Parker climb onto my little pinto. Her smile could light up a galaxy when she looked at us. You could see Elliot lecturing her on staying calm and steady as he started to lead her around the corral. Her laughing and squeals of excitement were infectious as we stood there. Even so I could feel the guilt creeping in.

"I feel like I shouldn't be happy right now." I confessed as my emotions shifted. The guilt and regrets were slowly overwhelming me. Hardison shifted his attention to me, gently placing a hand on my shoulder.
