[Zelos's pov]
I'm bartending today, it's a quiet night at the bar. of course, it was Thursday night after all. the normal flock of customers were students who are probably at home studying right now, tomorrow on Friday the place would be way busier.
I only have a 2 hour shift this time which was fairly short, a coworker of mine here needed to leave early so I insisted on covering for them. I don't have work some days because there's no shifts to take and I don't really prefer that. I already work my ass off doing double shifts on this job, just so I can make enough money to support me and Lucia then have enough to send back home.
Lucia was free, so she sat at the bar counter close to me and we chatted as I made drinks. her presence brought a comforting energy that made me destress from the whole Siony situation.
why was he so angry with me, is he going to tell the whole school about me? and why is he gay?! how mad is he at me? mad enough to take four whopping days off school? it's just so unlike him it's shocked me, he must be fuming from the way he responded to my texts. he knew I was right outside his window, and he wouldn't even look at me.
I sighed and leaned over on the counter. I don't understand why I'm thinking about a single person so much, I should be indifferent. but I just hate how he's mad at me and something about it ticked me off so much, I needed him to stop being angry with me.
"did you have a rough day? you look really conflicted." Lucia was gazing at my posture with a warm smile on her face.
"just tired." I answered her, it would suffice. I don't exactly have the best sleep schedule and she knows it.
because it was a quiet night at the club today, the bar wasn't filled with many customers. the moderate sound of chatting didn't fill the room completely, and when new customers entered through the door the little jingle sound of the bell on the top of the door frame could be heard.
the bell jingled once again, but nobody walked in. for a few seconds it sounded like the person stood at the entrance in hesitation, deciding if he or she should go in. then the footsteps resumed, and walked towards the bar counter. I didn't look up to see who it was as I was busy arranging all the cups and different alcoholic drinks.
"vodka, please."
I knocked over an empty cup.
before it fell off the counter, I stopped it with my hand. "Siony?" I said before I even looked up. I stared at him with a bit of shock and surprise.
Siony was sitting on one of the chairs, with his elbow against the counter and his chin leaning on his hand. he was staring at me with mysterious eyes, eyes of which I couldn't tell if he was still angry with me or not.
maybe he wasn't angry anymore. Siony entered the club, saw me at the bar, decided to walk in taking a dozen footsteps to approach me, and chose to sit at a chair very close and ask me for a drink. and he was finally looking at me.
Lucia was a bit startled from the cup falling over. "is everything alright?" she asked.
"yeah-" I tried to answer but I was interrupted.
"everything's fine." Siony said, giving her a smile that quickly disappeared.
me and him went back to looking at each other.
"straight or rocks?" I asked Siony, as I grabbed a bottle of vodka and a shot glass.
"straight." he said it with such empathizing to the word it gave me the impression he was definitely still mad.
Siony usually ordered red wine, white wine, or champagne, and drank lightly, never more than a glass or two. never something this strong.
"unusual drink for you to order." I commented as I stared at him, pouring the alcohol into the glass then sliding it to him.
