Mabel returns to her dorm room after being kicked out by Jess. The girl wasn't really happy about her roommates seeing her, so she packed her things and left quickly. It was just one night of fun, after all. No strings attached, but Mabel does miss the feeling of having someone.

Before coming here, she had sworn off love. A relationship is nice, but the feeling of losing that person is reason enough to never try again.

"Hey Mae", Kimberly greets her as she enters.

"Damn, you look happy. I think I need to switch teams," Bela comments, which makes Mabel giggle.

The girl was really just saying what she was thinking.

"Leighton hasn't come out yet," Bela says, pointing to her and Leighton's room.

Mabel nods before entering her room.

"Good morning Mae," Leighton's voice is full of sleep.

"Hey Leigh, how are you?" Mabel asks, putting her things on her table.

Leighton gets up from her desk.

"I'm fine, I'm sorry for my mood yesterday, I had bad cramps," Leighton lies. She curses herself for being so worried. Of course Mabel had stayed over.

"You don't need to apologize for anything. Cramps suck and I was really overwhelmed with Bela's statement, so thanks for saving me."

"Anytime," Leighton smiles, releasing a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding.

"I have to go meet Malia now. See you later?" asks Mabel, smiling softly.

"Yes, I'll see you."

Leighton takes her bag and meets Whitney outside.

They walk to class, while Leighton complains about her cousins wedding.

"Turns out I was wrong about Marissa. She just hit me up yesterday saying she's excited to see me. I thought we were friends, but she was definitely flirting. "

Whitney looks at her in pity.

'I just don't know how I can stay away from her, without embarrassing her infront of everyone. I don't have anyone to go with me to prevent that, except Bela and I'm definitely not going to bring her."

"Yeah I'm still sorry I can't go Leigh."

"No don't apologize. You rarely see you dad. I totally understand that you can't go", Leighton reassures her.

"Oh wait", Whitney stops pulling Leighton back.

"How about you ask Mabel? You guys seem to be getting along well. You already like her more than you liked us after one semester", Whitney points out, laughing.

"I bet she would join you"

Leighton hesitates. She has thought about that too. She definitely would be comfortable with Mabel. She is so easy to be around. Part of her just doesn't want her to have to deal with her family.

"Yeah I think so too. I just don't want my family to embarrass me. They are pretty close minded and my uncle just tolerates my sexuality, because of my dad. Mabel hasn't met that side of me yet and I kind of want to keep it that way."

"Don't get me wrong, Leighton, your family is really crazy sometimes, but I'm sure you'll manage to keep them and your uncle away. Go ask her," Whitney encourages.

"Okay I will, but enough about me. How are you going to meet your dad? You don't even have a car here."

"Oh, Jackson's giving me a ride," Whitney says casually.
