Damian

He left after the after-party, all he did was dance with my wife to catch some attention, and, it worked, he wanted us to know what his big plan was, and it had something to do with Celeste's parents. He's acting smarter, well no shit I can't deny Elias is a smart ass, graduated with honor roll, and at the age of sixteen but besides his GPA he's impatient, whatever he's doing he'll get tired of it and change his tactics.

While Davin spoke about Elias's possible plans, my eyes were stuck on Celeste's worried face. She fidgeted with her hands, staring into the distance while Davin spoke in the meeting. Adelia and Finn sat beside her, trying their best to comfort her, while my eyes darted toward Adira, who was incapable of taking her glare somewhere else.

"Plan 1, he could either kidnap Celeste's parents and blackmail her into loving him"
"Elias doesn't want to force her to love him tho, though he would know she'll only have hate for him" Dawson adds, "He's a psychotic killer? He would do anything, but when I mean anything, ANYTHING to have Celeste," Adelia sighed, fisting her hand over Celeste's shaky fingers.

I had to admit I've never felt worried before, but today, seeing how terrified she was, I felt it running through my bones, "She has a point, he is psychotic, that why we have to give the Dolores extra security just in case he kill-"

Celeste suddenly stands clearing her throat she paces out of the meeting room, "Keep discussing I'll be back" I say following behind, Shutting the office door behind her I grasp her wrist forcing her to face me, "Everything okay?" Before she could process my words, a glint of tears started forming in her eyes.

"Hey come here" I whisper pulling her into a hug, she wraps her arms around my waist laying her head over my chest as she sniffles trying to maintain her tears, but seconds later she lets them loose, holding her tightly she slowly glances up at me.

mascara running down her eyes her gaze were a deeper green than usual, softer, as if she had let her walls down, my gaze softened and she noticed by her eyes winding for a quick second, if she was letting her guard down, so would I.

"Why me? there are billions of women why me?" I knew the answers, he met her first, and the second reason is knowing he can't have her, and third but not least, I'm the one who's married to her.

"Come with me," I say gesturing for her hand.

Celeste

I follow him inside a locked dark room, Damian places his hand over a scanning machine attached to the hidden door before it clicks open, and grasping my hand we head inside-

Lights flash all around us before a monitor is heard around the room, "Welcome Elias Morana"the sound of a robot speaking makes my heart skip a beat, a small round table reminding me of a UFO with a seethrough globe of the earth turning in circles above it.

"What is this place?" I asked curiously walking around the silver room, "This was Elias's secret, he would track his victims down with it" I still as my hand traced the table, glancing up at him I saw Damian giving me a reassuring nod, "How did he...

"What is this place?" I asked curiously walking around the silver room, "This was Elias's secret, he would track his victims down with it" I still as my hand traced the table, glancing up at him I saw Damian giving me a reassuring nod, "How did he get a hand of this...it looks like something the government would own-"

Realization hits me in the ass cheeks, Damian's smile tugged his lips, "You got it for him..." I asked with an arch of a brow, "Elias and I were once on good terms, he was a part of the mob and I guess all I've ever wanted was my older brother to think I'm as cool as him, I used my 'second government role'" He stops to quote, "to get him illegal weapons, devices, etc"

I swallow nervously curious about his story, leaning against the table he takes a step closer, "Ge used it behind my back, tracking his victims to either kill them or start his own mob against me"

"He would turn them into killing machines, and if they weren't good enough he would kill them, the only two to survive were Isis and Valerie, I guess they fit his picture of perfect"

Shivers roll down my spine...

"She didn't have anywhere else to go, and I didn't want to send her into those shitty psych wards, so I took her in for myself, I got her checked up and raised her on my own, by the age of sixteen I showed her self defense and how to fight"

Elias's words repeated over my head, he told me the real reason why he took in Valerie, he murdered her evil parents and took her in himself, but what if that's a lie? Just to make me feel bad?

Damian does know him better than I do, I should take his word for it, but it would be pathetic to trust anything anyone says.

Even if Elias was telling the truth, I can't tell Damian that, he'll think I'm scheming behind his back and most likely see me as a traitor, "He wanted to create a mob of psychopaths like him to kill me, so he'll steal my role and what? get world domination?" He snorts leaning against the table across from me, swelling nervously I glance at the globe, turning my back to Damian I glance down at a few flashing lights.

"What if..." I cut myself off before finishing my sentence, "What if what?" he asked gently, overhearing his footsteps get closer, sighing I don't face him I just stand straight and keep staring at the shining globe, "What if...he was using it for a good purpose" His body tenses behind me, and I knew, just by the air becoming thicker I should have kept my thoughts to myself.

"Why would you think that? After everything he's done" his voice becomes firmer, louder making me face him, "It's just a thought" I state folding my arms across my chest, "Don't tell me he's getting to your head Celeste" I frown, giving him a sarcastic smile, leaning against the table I take a step closer, his eyes falter to my body before facing my eyes again.

"I'm just trying to figure shit out, What did you do so bad that Elias despises you that badly" He stills chuckling as he ran a hand through his scalp, "I did absolutely nothing Celeste, that's the thing, I did nothing, he's hated me ever since I came to this damn world"

"I find that hard to believe" I whispered through gritted teeth, his smile turned into a frown, and his gaze grew darker than I'd seen before, "Excuse me?"

I sigh maintaining my anger from him, "No one hates someone out of nowhere for no reason Damian, what is it that you did?" More likely, What are you not telling me. This time my voice came out firmer, as if I was demanding an answer, and I had to admit I was.

Why does Elias hate him so much? Why won't Damian tell me what he did? Why does Elias want to kill him and quote save me?

Damian closes the gap between us staring right down at me before he suddenly takes steps closer, I take a step back and swallow as my back hits the round table, trapping me in his arms he stares directly into my eyes, "I. Did. Nothing" Trying to find any hint of lies, I couldn't see any, his gaze was dark yet didn't dilate by his words.

I've known from experts eyes always dilate when someone lying, and that day Elias told me his story about Valerie, his eyes never dilated, not even once.
