Getting away with the death

Titan's POV

I drove back to the city with only one thing on my mind, Ash. I already posted a report to the cops, that a body was found. I killed someone, reconstructing his face to be Ash's. It's not hard as it sounds. It's actually pretty easy when you are smart, and brilliant.

His family is going to get the message anytime now.... A part of me feels so bad for Ash. I have this feeling of guilt and regret that I am for blame for this. The government already knows that Ash is dead. (The fake Ash that is.) I haven't told father that I sent Ash into hiding. The reason why I haven't told him yet, is because if the government began to ask questions, they would go to father first. Considering that I like him more than everyone else there.

I pulled into the garage of our warehouse and got out of the car. Dave was waiting for me by the elevator. I got out of the car, smiling the whole time as I made my way towards him.

"I see you did a fantastic job with his death. Bravo, Titan." Dave said and turned to put his hand onto the scanner. The scanner beeped and said, "Welcome Dave." The elevator door opened and we stepped inside. All doors here have a hand, eye and fingerprint scanner. The elevator only uses a pin, and a hand print. But the hand print, it jabs a needle into your fingers. For security purposes obviously.

"The kill was easy. He was very excited for our dinner." I chuckled sarcastically. Dave laughed with me and shook his head.

"You sure do have a crazy mind, Titan." He pointed out.

"Thanks for stating the obvious, Sir." I said firmly. He looked over at me and grin escaped his mouth. The type of grin that you know is guilty of something.

The elevator door opened and we walked into the lab. My father was typing away on his computer. His head turned towards us and he smiled.

"How was the mission?" Father asked me.

"It was great, Steven. Thanks for asking." I smiled. He nodded and smiled, turning back towards his computer.

My eyes looked over at his screen. He was creating a new program for a robot. I wonder what the program does and if it's for me.

"Well you have two days off, Titan. Go enjoy yourself. Whatever your robotic body does for free time." Dave let out a heavy sigh and turned to walk out of the lab.

"Thank you, Sir. Have a nice night." I said and he nodded, walking out of the lab.

Steven turned to me and lifted his finger towards me.

"Now tell me you did not kill him." He demanded.

"I am sorry to inform you, Father. But I had to go with what I was told to do." I said and sat down in the chair next to him.

He looked to the ground and shook his head. "I have no idea how you were able to feel. No robot ever was capable of doing so. It has to be your perfect DNA, Titan." He pointed out.

I looked down at myself and shrugged. I could feel Ash's emotions all the way here. I have no idea why. Two hours away and I am able to feel him? That is impossible.

I can feel that he is scared, depressed and cautious. Oh I am so sorry for making you feel this way, Ash. I said in my head.

I looked down at my watch and seen it was almost midnight. I got up and patted father on the back. "I am going home now, father. I will see you in two days." I told him. He got up and hugged me tight.

"Be safe out there, Titan. You know how to protect yourself." He told me. I nodded and turned, walking towards the door.

"Oh and Titan." Father shouted after me. I turned around and raised an eyebrow for him to go on.

"How was the dinner?" He asked.

I shrugged and said, "Ash was right when he said the food was phenomenal." Father smiled and chuckled.

"Good night, Titan." He told me.

I smiled and said, "Good night father." I turned around and walked out of the lab, and down the hall towards the elevator.

I drove all the way back to the cabin. I stopped at the store first, getting a few things. Also getting Ash a few pair of clothes. I had to get him what he wanted. He had to get new stuff. Because if people noticed that some of his things were missing, they would know that he is still alive. And then me, Ash and whomever else knew would be dead. Dead for good.

I slid the key into the lock, turning the nob. The door opened and the fireplace was still lit. I heard soft breathing from the living room. I walked over to see what it was. I smiled, seeing Ash sound asleep on the couch. I turned my head and seen that his eyes were all red and puffy. I knew he must been crying.

I sighed, walking over to pick him up. I slid one arm underneath his legs and one underneath his neck. I lifted him up and he groaned. His eyes opened and he looked at me curiously. With fear in his eyes.

"Shh, I am taking you to bed." I whispered. He nodded and laid his head into my chest. I smiled of how good this is making me feel. I feel so wonderful inside. The way that I feel, the first time I felt anything, I wouldn't want to change this for the world. I rather die than not feel this.

I walked into the bedroom, the room was pitch black. My night vision kicked on and now I was able to see in the room. I walked over to the bed, laying Ash down gently onto the bed. I lifted the comforter and sheet over his body and he looked up at me. He smiled so big.

"Thank you." He mumbled and his eyes closed again. This time he fell asleep smiling.

I could feel his emotions, stronger then I have ever felt them. I could feel his smile, how happy he was that I was here. I smiled at that and walked back out into the living room. I fixed the couch then walked over to put all the groceries away.

Once I put everything away, I walked back into the bedroom closing the door behind me. I began to unbutton my shirt and laid it down on the chair across the room. I slid off my pants and did the same.

I walked over to the bed, laying down gently so I wouldn't wake sleeping beauty.

I laid on my back looking at the ceiling. I sure hope that nothing will happen to Ash. I do not want to lose him. I can't lose him. He is everything to me now. I can't risk losing him to this. And I am going to do my best to keep him safe. No matter what it takes. I will keep you safe, Ash.
