Chapter 29 - Everything Is Black

Ash's POV

Hurt.

Everything hurts. Every single thing in my body is hurting. I can't even move a single muscle without something in my body hurting. It's like I was hit by a train. It feels like I was hit by a train. I can't even breathe. My throat is killing me from this huge tube. I honestly don't remember what happened. I can't even see anything at the moment. Everything is black. All I can see is black. All I can hear is beeping.

What happened to me?

Why can't I see anything?

I felt an electric shock go through my body, signalling that Titan was holding onto my hand. Anger and sadness rushed through my body. I told him I did not want to see him again. What the hell is he doing here? Why is he here and why am I here?

"Hey baby." Titan said. 

"I know that you never wanted to see me again but I couldn't leave you." Titan's hand squeezed onto mine tighter, making me want to open my eyes and tell him that everything is going to be ok.

"You told me that if you saw me again you would kill me. But the thing is, I am already dead. Like you said, they created me for one thing and one thing only, to kill. Although that is all fading away. All those thoughts, the hunger, the love, all of that is fading away. The only thing that has not faded away is my love for you and that will never fade away." 

"Now the only thoughts are in my head is you." My heart skipped a beat as the words went through my ears. I wanted to so badly open my eyes but I can't. Why can't I open my eyes?

"I told you from the beginning that I would protect you. But I failed when I let you down and you ended up getting hurt. I never wanted this life for you. I never wanted you to know or see what this life was like. The thing is, the more you kill, the more blood you see, the more you crave it. You soon will go crazy. And I am so scared that will happen to you. I do not want that for you. Once you go into that dark place, there is no coming out of it. And I am afraid you already seen a hint of darkness and its pulling you closer. I can't let that happen." I felt his hand brush the hair out of my eyes, making my body jolt of electricity.

I felt his breath on my ear, making my body shiver. "I will take care the rest of our mission, I will see you soon, my love." He said and that is when I knew what he was talking about.

He can not do this alone.

Titan!

I kept trying to scream his name but nothing is coming out of my mouth. I kept pushing and pushing, trying to get my eyes to open. But everything is black.

'Come on Ash, You can do this.' I told myself. I tried one last time and pushed my eyes open. My vision came to a blurry picture. I kept blinking and blinking, trying to get my eyes adjusted to the dim light.

I tried turning my head but I couldn't do so. Pain rushed through my body and I groaned through pain.

I watched as an younger lady came into view, looking directly down at me in concern.

"Hi, Ash." She smiled at me.

I looked at her confusedly, wondering how she knew my name.

"Do you remember what happened to you?" She asked me. I tried my best to shake my head no. I squinted my eyes in pain.

"You was in a bad accident, Ash. You are lucky to be alive." She told me.

I tried to talk, but I couldn't with this huge tube down my throat.

I reached up and tried to grab the tube from my throat. The lady grabbed onto my wrist instantly.

"You can't do that. It's helping you breathe for now." She told me.

I watched as she reached over to the little stand next to her and handed me a notepad and pen. I looked at it and back up at her in confusion.

"You can't talk so just write." She told me.

I instantly wrote Titan's name.

The lady looked at it and smiled.

She looked up at me and nodded. "Your boyfriend is a keeper. I never seen someone like him cry like he did. He walked out of here with tears running down his face. I can tell he really loves you. Don't let go of him, Ash."

Tears filled my eyes instantly. How does a robot cry? It's highly impossible for a robot to cry. How does one killer machine cry for someone that he was supposed to kill?

'You are making me human' his voice sounded through my head.

My heart ached, my stomach turned.

I can't let him finish this mission.

Titan is walking into suicide...
