What If: Everyone was told who their soulmate was

Prologue

Pearl woke up in a circle, surrounded by familiar people standing in a forest. She recognized these people but couldn't remember where she had seen them. Suddenly, the guy beside her said, "Welcome to Double Life, the series in which the number of lives you have is indicated by the color of your name. Green for three, 2 for yellow, and if you're on your last life, you turn red. And just like the other series, when you're red you then become hostile to the other members, and if you lose your third life, you are out of the series." She then remembered that she had been in a game before this, Last Life, a game she had played with her friends on Minecraft, but never in real life like she was in right now. She wondered how she had got here and why everyone looked like their Minecraft skin.

"The twist in this series is that everyone has a soulbound and if one of you take damage, both of you take damage, and if you die, your soulbound dies too."

Pearl's attention immediately diverted back to the man, who she remembered was named Grian, the one who created the series that she took part in, in Minecraft. 

Before she could say anything about how they were in this game and why they looked like their Minecraft skins, Grian and everyone else ran off and Pearl simply said her goodbyes. Pearl ran off into the forest, looking around, shocked by the situation she was in. She tried not to think about the fact that this was a part of the "Life series" but she knew deep down that if this were true, her friends would murder each other to survive. She went to mine some trees but she wondered how she would do it because her hands were very real. She decided to try it anyway due to everyone looking like their Minecraft skin even if the features were physically impossible like Cleo's green skin. When she punched the tree her logic was proved to be correct by the tree cracking like in Minecraft. When she broke off the piece of the log, she got scared for a second, fearing the tree would fall on her, but the tree just floated, proving once again, that this was a Minecraft-like world.

Suddenly, she saw green numbers counting down from three, surprising her before she remembered that she was going to get her soulbound.

Pearl saw as the numbers counted down. 3.. 2.. 1...

Then, Pearl saw the words, "Your soulbound is..."
