𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐎𝐔𝐓, the night sky looking awfully pretty. Moonlight poured through the curtains of his room, lighting up some parts of the room as you and kr laid up in bed together. He was warm, despite the cold atmosphere. He was wearing a wife beater with some sweatpants as he held you tightly while scrolling through his phone mindlessly.
One of his favorite artists, Playboi Carti, was playing on the TV in his room. (it was confirmed he likes carti in an interview)
You started feeling sleepy, his presence alone calming you and your mind. Before you could fall into a deep sleep, you heard kr speak.
"baby look at dis." You heard him mumble, making you open your eyes as he showed you some random video on his phone. Your eyes adjusted to the sudden light from the phone before you observed. "hm." You hummed in response, moving your head slightly so it rested on his chest.
He moved the phone away from you, going back to his mindless scrolling as you shut your eyes again hoping to fall asleep this time. Once again, you were awoken by his voice.
"yooo wtf, look at dis." He said, laughing slightly at the end of his sentence. His voice forced you to shrug off your sleep and open your eyes as he showed you a video on his phone. It was just some opp caught lacking. He always told you not to get involved or anything to keep you safe. You didn't respond, too tired to say anything and he noticed.
"bae u good?" He asked, kissing the top of your head, as you nodded. He finally realized you were sleepy so he shut his phone off, placing it on the nightstand table near him before focusing all his attention on you. It was silent for a while, so you thought he had finally fallen asleep but you were wrong.
"baby." He mumbled, your eyes still shut. You decided to just ignore him, wanting to sleep but he wouldnt let up. "babyyyyy." He said a little louder this time to get your attention. You stayed quiet thinking he would give up eventually. You heard him kiss his teeth, "stop ignoring me baeee." You finally opened your eyes, looking at him wondering what he wanted.
"i love you." He said, kissing your lips before pulling away with a grin on his face like he did something. You rolled your eyes at his previous antics before sighing, "i love you too." He buried his face in your chest and neck, kissing it. You could feel him smile against your skin as he kept his arms wrapped around you tightly. You shut your eyes and after 5 minutes it was still silent, he seemed fast asleep.
"bae.." He mumbled into your neck, your head on top of his. Of course he was still awake. "what u want now." You said, rolling your eyes playfully but still a little irritated. "u promise u aint ever gon leave me?" He asked in a whisper tone but still audible. He looked up at you briefly, making eye contact before looking away. "im neva leaving u bae, i promise." You said, kissing the top of his head as he smiled slightly. "das right, we forever."
You couldnt help but crack a smile at him, his face buried in your neck. You wondered why he was bothering you all night while you tried to fall asleep, but now you knew the answer. It seemed that he needed some reassurance to ease his mind. You were what he needed to fall asleep every night, you and only you.
