long time no see????? I was very busy with school but that shit ended in may so I have no other excuse other than I was lazy. Sorry! But enjoy this epilogue (warning: it's super short)
"Niall, where are we going?" I asked him. He was driving us somewhere and him being a sneaky little shit, wouldn't tell me where he was going.
"It's a surprise, love."
I huffed. I hated surprises. So instead of saying anything further, I leaned my head on the window and thought about what had happened in the past three months.
I'd slowly started to talk normally again. Some of my words were still choppy, which made me frustrated, but Niall thought it was cute. I'd also gained some confidence, I was still shy but nowhere near as much.
I'd gotten used to Niall's friends, who were still incredibly loud. But it was nothing I couldn't handle.
And thankfully, my hair had grown so much that it covered the little bald spot on my head. I'd actually gotten used to wearing beanies so it was weird when Niall requested I go without one.
"Alright, petal, get out." I hadn't realized we were parked until Niall opened my door.
"Why are we at a park.. Oh."
Niall stood beside me, his hands clasped behind his back. I could faintly see a blush creeping up his neck.
He had set up a picnic.
I suddenly wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging. He immediately responded by putting his arms around my waist too.
"Thank you," I mumbled into his denim jacket.
"What for?"
I released him. "This picnic. It looks so nice and I can't wait to see what you cooked."
He scratched the back of his neck and laughed sheepishly, "Actually, all this food is from Panera and Chipotle."
I laughed, "That's good too. But you have to cook for me next time."
"Definitely."
We settled down on the blanket and Niall started grabbing the food. My eyes widened when he gave me a burrito that was literally bigger than my head.
"How am I supposed to fit this in my mouth?" I asked. Niall laughed, "Oh come on Florence, it can fit."
He started laughing harder at what he said and I slapped his arm. How gross.
He calmed down after that and we began eating. Surprisingly, the burrito actually fit in my mouth, much to Niall's amusement.
After we finished eating, Niall cleared up our wrappers and faced me.
"So, I actually wanted to ask you something."
"Go for it."
He fumbled with his hands as he mumbled out his words, "Alright well, we've known each other for a couple of months and I really like you. I don't think I've ever liked someone so much. I might even love you. But anyway, I've just started thinking that you know, we kiss all the time but we're not together.. so do you want to be together? Do you want to be my girlfriend?"
I blushed under his intense gaze and messed with my top. He was so cute.
After a few seconds, I launched myself at him, hugging him tightly. "Yes, hell yes."
He laughed and peppered my face with kisses, "Thank God you said yes, I was about to have a nervous breakdown."
He laid me down with him and I snuggled up to him, watching the stars. He spoke after a few moments, "You know, if you would've said no, I would have left you out here."
I shoved him with my shoulder, "No, you wouldn't have."
"You're right," he agreed. "I would never leave the prettiest girl all alone."
"Oh my God, be quiet." I laughed, but kissed his cheek.
"Oh, you know in your speech when you said you might love me?" I questioned. Niall nodded.
I grinned, "Well, I might love you also."
And that started another round of kisses.
