Clayton Catch up

They find them/They're born

Clayton was returning from his hunting trip once more, quite frustrated since he once again came back with the same thing as usual, every trip. He was a hunter and often hunted in exotic places to bring back different creatures to sell on the black market secretly. He was hoping to find bigger prizes though to make more money. He made pretty good money already but the big prizes like gorillas and jaguars are the goldmines that he's after.

He began to make his way to his home, his eyes almost rolling into his head when he saw his wife already standing at the door. "I don't want to deal with this right now" he stated with a sigh as he went into the house. "3 month after he's born?!" his wife started with him while following. The situation was, Clayton had left for his trip to hunt about 3 months after his new son was born. "I wasn't gone that long and there were reports of gorillas inhabiting that island! It could've been a wonderful money score for all of us!" Clayton insisted making his way to the nursery where his son was. He walked in and went to the crib, smiling down at the sleeping infant. He was small and very frail for his age, matte blonde locks framing his face, he had healthy hair as a baby. "so, did you get anything?" his wife crossed her arms. "No, the one who reported it was lying for attention" Clayton stated stroking his child's cheek as the baby began to do tiny yawning and stretching, opening his eyes and making noises as his father gently took him out of the crib. "why is he so frail?" Clayton asked.

"he's having trouble eating and not getting enough when i breast feed him" his wife explained. Clayton frowned at this, "no worries, he'll gain his appetite, he's his father's child and will get a hunger for everything in life, milk, food, riches, hunting" He stated.

Bonding/Naming

"she makes all this fuss about you when you're perfectly fine, see? you gained the proper baby weight in no time" Clayton mumbled while holding his son. The baby boy made grunting noises as he was looking around the doctor's office. The baby's mother had been worried about their son since he seemed very sensitive to things and had a limited diet of things, he could eat without throwing them up or breaking out in rashes. Clayton was keeping the infant entertained while the mother talked with the doctor.

The baby cooed happily smiling up at his father. Clayton smiled back at him, patting his head. "You're becoming more and more like your old man, every day, William" he said, they had recently named the baby yesterday. "just a few days ago, you had crawled to your toys by yourself, you have the hunger for the hunt" Clayton said as William babbled to himself, yawning as he was growing bored with waiting. Clayton held his son in one arm and rested his chin in his other hand while waiting. By the time, his wife and the doctor were finished talking, William was asleep in his father's hold. Clayton didn't mind that, it made him happy knowing his son felt safe enough to fall asleep with him.

First word/Attempting first word

Clayton was once again getting ready to leave for a trip to find Bald eagles. William wasn't happy about this at all. "he'll miss you" Clayton's wife stated softly as they watched the baby boy attempt to crawl into his father's suitcase. "I know" Clayton stated, stiffly. He and his wife have been a bit on the rocks since William's birth. "this will be good for us though, i will find a good kill, bring enough back, sell it and get enough money to keep you all and myself comfortable" Clayton said picking up the baby out of his suitcase and closing it up, handing his son to his mother. "I'll be back soon, i promise" he said kissing his son's head and awkwardly kissing his wife's forehead.

William began to throw a fit and fuss and cry as his mother stood at the doorway with him, watching Clayton pack up his things into the cab outside. Clayton hated seeing his son so upset but knew he'd be fine. He began to get into the cab but a sudden word stopped him in his tracks.
