Everyone looked at the camps entrance and saw a rogue come through with a kit dangling in her mouth and two more following her with scratches everywhere. She looked around, eyes wide with terror. "Don't hurt me please!" she mewed desperately. "We won't hurt you, not when you have kits. Tell me what happened," Lightstar meowed. "We were walking by twoleg place and out of no where two kittypets came out and attacked my kits and I tried to fight them off but I didn't have enough strength to fight. I told my kits to follow me as fast as they can, and I grabbed the weakest one and ran as fast as I could into the forest, and then I ran into you guys."
"Appletree, come treat this rogues." Lightstar meowed. "I'm so sorry, you can stay here however long you need to." Appletree ran over and nudged them to her den. "How often does that happen?" Daisypaw meowed to Badgerjaw. "Not often."
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the highrock for a clan meeting." Lightstars voice rang out into the camp. Cats started to gather around the highrock. Daisypaw even saw Icetail with her three healthy kits. "I called a clan meeting today to address that we will be taking care of a rogue and her three kits. I expect you all to give her respect." Murmurs of disagreement went out through the cats. "We already accepted a kittypet into our clan. We don't need more outsiders in our clan right now!" Someone yowled. Lightstar flicked her tail for silence. "I didn't say we're going to train them," growled Lightstar. "We are just going to take care of them. I also have some other important news. The dawn patrol has found this strange thing. It's a brown vine with a loop at the bottom. When something goes in it, it wraps around it and hangs it on a tree. It had twoleg sent all over it. They also found badger tracks around it too. What ever it is, be careful. It could kill a cat." Lightstar meowed. "Why would twolegs want to kill badgers?!" meowed Rabbitfoot. "We don't know, but we want everyone to watch where they step." Lightstar meowed. "Actually, Redspots had figured out how to get rid of it. Redspots, would you like to share," Badgerjaw meowed. "Yes." Redspots got up and licked his chest fur. "You should grab a stick, the longest you can find, and stick it in the loop. It should wrap around the stick tightly and pull it up," he meowed. He sat back down. "Then I want everyone to do that when they find one," meowed Lightstar. She jumped down and the cats broke into smaller groups once again. It was nearly moon high when Daisypaw went into the apprentices den. She found a den separated from the other two. She didn't feel like she fit in quiet yet. She woke up to a cat padding her. "Hey, wake up. Our mentors want us to train together today." Daisypaw opened her eyes and saw Blizzardpaw. She got up immediately. She felt embarrassed to sleep in this late. She walked out with Blizzardpaw to meet Rosepetal and Whiteclaw. It's been a few days since Daisypaw was apprenticed. She was already making friends with Blizzardpaw and Leafpaw. The four walked out to the training hollow. It was an open stretch of land with matted grass and no trees. "Today we're going to teach you how to fight. Whiteclaw, will you demonstrate with me?" Rosepetal meowed. "Sure." they both got a few fox lengths away and stood staring at each. Whiteclaw was the first to move. He ran towards Rosepetal and tried to get on top of her. She moved to the side and as Whiteclaw hit the ground she pounced and pinned him to the ground. Whiteclaw clawed at her belly, claws sheathed, and kicked her off. "See how While claw attacked me, even though I pinned him. I want you two to practice that on eachother." Daisypaw and Blizzardpaw both nodded. Daisypaw lept onto Bizzardpaw and Blizzardpaw immediately clawed at her belly. They kept doing that to eachother until they perfected it. It only took a few try's until they could do it with their eyes closed. They headed back to camp. "You guys did really good back there." Both Blizzardpaw and Daisypaw looked at Rosepetal with their eyes bright. They walked through the camps entrance and grabbed a piece of fresh kill and walked over to the apprentices den. She shared it with Blizzardpaw. Everything seemed to be peaceful in the camp.
