prologue

A moment ago, it was all fine and good. A moment later it's shattered into pieces.
        
       The heat from the burning bamboos stacked up criss crossed increased, as a man, about 6ft 2inches tall, uses a burning stick to ablaze the funeral pyre.
             The flames of the fire dazzles upon the bamboos, which has ghee sprinkled over. The fire with its bright blinding blazes engulfs the dead body in it, slowly turning it into mere ashes.
              The body of Ishwaraj Singh Rathore, former chairman of Rathore Corporations.

Devaditya,his grandson, rounds the funeral pyre once more while the fire devours his grandfathers body and then performs the ritual of kapala kriya.
            He, with the help of a bamboo stick makes a hole in the pyre for the release of the soul of his grandfather. His expression remained neutral. It wasn't like he was a man of expressions.

"Dev isn't even showing a single drop of remorse on dad's death,is he even a human?" Whispered Chandni Pathak. Devaditya's paternal aunt.

All the while, when members of Rathore family are discussing about how devaditya should react at least for media news, he did nothing but glare at his father once.

Devraj Singh Rathore, devaditya's father, sat there in a chair sipping on his wine. Exotic wine. He has always been fond of alcohol. Any sort of alcohol. The wine bottle he was holding while watching his father's burning pyre was produced by the winery sector of Rathore corporations. He took another sip and looked at his son.

Devraj smiled.
A smile devaditya hated.

The members soon left the samsana. Devraj left too a little later, after staring at the burning body of his father—remained devaditya.

After the fire cooled down, he collected the ashes of his grandfather and then transfered it into a metal kalash.
         Before passing away, his grandfather always seemed to love Varanasi. Devaditya knew where to consecrate the ashes for his grandfather to rest in peace.

A heavy sigh passes through his lips. His gaze steels,jaw clenches, grip on the kalash tightens.

Dev Aditya Singh Rathore, king of Udaipur is the current CEO of Rathore Corporations. He was announced as a CEO when he was 25 years old. A very young age to be in this position. A lot of people perceive him as privileged being born with a silver spoon in his mouth but couldn't agree less that he's the most eligible person for this position after his grandfather.
                 He made the Rathore corporations double it's profits,just by changing some overall scheme methods and even produced 10 luxury innovations from different sectors to achieve the top most position in the international corporate world.
          At times, he's known as the youngest CEO bachelor with a model like face. Girls and boys both swoon over him.

He's also the most feared person in the corporate world. Legend has the Rathores have a cool attitude and they don't talk much. The former chairman being a Rathore had shown world the same.

People love to gossip about personas with powers, pointing out flaws to make themselves feel better.The very same applies to Rathores. Gossips go on about the Rathore's lifestyle, their net worth, their relationships and so on.

There was once a huge crisis regarding a rumour when the Aditi  devraj Singh Rathore, the mother of devaditya died while giving birth to Agastya. They said she had a lover and devaditya and the child she was pregnant with aren't the heirs of Rathores.
            One rumour regarding Rathores says devraj Singh Rathore doesn't has much of a great connection with his family.
        Another very infamous rumour has, regarding devaditya's avoidance for proposals and ignoring the girls dying over him, that he had been unlucky in love and thus in order not to get hurt anymore,he became more tough.

Anyways rumours are just rumours.

Devaditya, without any further do, ordered his secretary to arrange flights for Varanasi and told him to send the following deal updates on his mail so that he could work on it while he's out of Udaipur.
                     It wasn't a new thing for anyone to get surprised by him working during this situation. The young guy had never cut work short. Perhaps,he never will.
                 And just like that the ruthless, emotionless and arrogant CEO of Rathore Corporations left for Varanasi.
