A customer just left after taking out his order, for his daughter's birthday.
Divya after summing up the bill, started grounding coffee beans.

I'm sitting at one of the counter stools. Shanaya seemed oddly quiet today. She's normally the chatterbox of our group.

"Why do you seem like a vampire sucked all your energy?" Nandini joked, trying to lighten the surrounding. Except for the four of us including Divya, there are a couple down in the basement cafe. The guy booked it out to propose his girlfriend. Cute.

"I wish it actually happened..." She said with a low voice. "I dunno, I'm just wanting to be more practical in life."

"Bruh, you're already practical, developing games and all," said Divya, "yeah the only thing you're delulu in is relationships. I suggest you take that practically."

"Yeah, but I feel lonely. Ever since my non-dating era started life seems boring and long."

"And look at me who never dated." Said Nandini with a sarcastic smile.

"You still have a lots of exciting things to do or be happy about." I say wrapping my hand around her shoulder.

"No, nothing's interesting, I want kalesh in life."

"Tera kuch nhi ho sakta..." Said Nandini yawning.

"How's dragon fruit?" Shanaya asks all of a sudden, back to her normal self.

"Ah, ohhhh i almost forgot, you know dragon fruit has more friends, he goes theatre with!!"

A series of gasps followed as i finished my sentence.

"The fact that he goes to theatre seems too offbeat." commented divya.

"Oh come on, the fact he has friends is even more offbeat." Joked nandini, "how do you know? Getting much interested in dragon fruit these days huhh?" Shanaya teased me.

I wouldn't lie if I tell i do enjoy when they tease me.

"You wouldn't believe what happened!!"

"What?!!" The three of them darted the same question at me, anticipation visible in their eyes, I swear they hype me up so much. My cutiess.

"Meri shaadi ho gayi and mereko pata bhi nhi chala..."

"What?"

"Yup, one of his friends called me bhabhi the day before yesterday when I was returning from the Market."

"Gurl! This is some crazy shit!" Said Nandini as Shanaya and Divya gaped at me.

"It is, then guess what dragon fruit dropped me home saying it was too late to be outside in the dark."

"Bruh! She's getting y/n moments in her life." said Divya.

"But honestly, does he thinks I'm weak to be out alone, freak..."

"Exactly, otherwise dragon fruit would have been a nice dinner for you...."said Nandini, "dinner? I'm not a cannibal. Gurl what?"

"Idiot! I mean he's quite handsome, and i think he's definitely interested in you,"

"In me? Like for real?"

"Yeah, I do agree with nandu, maybe he got a crush on you after you called him a jerk, no one has ever dared to say that right to his face," said Shanaya, my head's spinning now, i shouldn't have opened up about this, thank God I didn't tell them about the good girl and the office incident.
