~Devaditya~

"Are you an actor? You seem well dressed,"-she keeps rattling on. There seems no end to her useless questions. My day has already been bad after seeing the face of Chandni in the very morning. Devraj and her sister Chandni can be declared as the perfect atrocious siblings.

At first I used to think she cared for me. She cared for our family. She used to pretend she cared. She was good at putting on masks and fool people, not letting them see what's under the sickly sweet demeanor of hers: a noxious women.

She was caressing my head, singing me a lullaby, trying to put me into sleep. I closed my heavy eyes, almost falling into the dungeon of sleep; when i felt a strong tug at my hair, panic aroused my entire body, i was scared to open my eyes; scared that chachi will turn into a monster like my father and kill me like my mom. Her breath fanned near my ears as goosebumps aroused my entire body but I kept on pretending asleep.

"I wish your brother died in your mother's body. I wish you die too. Do you know how much of a spike in my way you are?"- her grip on my hair loosened and she stroked it-"do you know how obnoxious you are? If you go to mommy in heaven, Chachi will be so happy. Your Chachi can inherit the entire property after your grandparents join you two in heaven."

I felt so numb. I wanted to cry. But i couldn't. After mother died, she was the one who was like a mother figure to me. Turns out they are the same. They are monsters in human skin.

"If you're actually an actor, don't worry I'm not a stalker. I swear I saw you for the first time. What's your name?"

"Huh?" Her words shake me out of my past. This time I look at her properly. She's in a sea green salwar, which has pastel iridescent shades to it. Silver earrings are dangling as she moves her head. Some strands of hair are messing due to the wind coming from the window. She tucks those behind her ear as she looks at me eagerly to answer.

Her eyes.

"What's your name?"

"Whatever it is, you don't have to know," i say with bitterness rising in my voice, "shut up and get off when your stop arrives and leave."

"Eh-wha-how rude!....I'm being nice to you and look at you being stubborn. Didn't your parents taught you manners?"

My eyes go wide at her nerves to raise her voice at me. Wrath peaked in my veins.

"Driver. Stop the car." I ordered as my driver looks fearfully at me. That's the way people should look at me: with fear in their eyes. The driver stops the car at the side.

"Get out. Your stop's here."

"Mannerless idiot!" She spits out the words while getting out and bangs the door hard.

You've got guts, huh?
I gotta do something with you my love. See you soon.

My secretary handles me my tasks for today as I settle in my high back leather chair. He then starts explaining when I stop him.

"I have a work for you." I say in my regular neutral tone.

"Yes sir, please." My secretary replies, his head down.

"Get me the list of all female workers from Exquisite Events' and bring them to me."

"Okay sir. I will bring you that as soon as possible, shall I take my leave now or do I get you anything else?"
