I could feel my heart beating out my chest after I finally confessed my feelings. I was so nervous for Jake's response.
"Can you come outside?" Jake asked , he's breath shakey
"W-what" I responded feeling extremely confused.
"I'm outside your house Jaelyn"
Once I realized what he was saying I hung up and rushed to go outside.
Jake was standing there in disbelief , his eyes were red. I felt really bad.
"Jake , im so sorry. Please forgive me" I pleaded as I ran to give him a hug.
"I forgave you the moment I walked away after the fight. I could never be mad at you , ever" He explained and held me tighter.
"I just got too possessive. You don't like me in that way and I should of understood that. I need to think about your feelings too"
"Jaelyn. Who said I didn't like you back?"
"S-sorry?" I was taken aback.
"I like you Jaelyn. Much more than friend" Jake responded all flustered.
"I know we might be moving too fast but , I'd really like to be your boyfriend" Jake continued.
I didn't know what to say. I was just staring deep into Jake's eyes. I was in too much shock to tell him exactly how I felt in more detail.
"I'd like that. I want us to get closer and spend more time together , as more than friends" I said as I finally gathered up the courage.
"So you're giving me a chance?"
"Of course I am" I smiled and rested my head on Jake's chest.
We stayed like that for a few minutes. The wind was blowing like crazy and the air was cold. It didn't matter though , because just being in Jake's arms made me feel warmer. Just his presence can lighten up my mood.
"Go inside now Jae. I'll come to you first thing in the morning at school" Jake said as he slowly released from the hug.
"Goodnight Jake , be safe on your way home"
I went inside smiling and giggling after Jake left.
I'm so happy we fixed things. I'll never let him go every again , even if it's just for a split seconds.
