Chapter 20

Cameron's POV:

"Cameron, can you please step outside for a second. Grab you're things." The principle says. This can't be good.

"Yes sir." I say walking out the door.

"I'm afraid I have some bad news." Mr. Harris said. (The principle)

"What is it?" I ask in concern.

"Well, Lia, your girlfriend, she went home early. Are you aware of that?" Mr. Harris asks.

I nod.

"She got into an accident." Mr. Harris said. "She's staying at the downtown hospital in room 117."

My eyes start watering up with tears. I throw my bag around my shoulder and run out the door. I remembered that Lia took my car but I was so worried that I had enough power in me to run to the hospital.

I finally get to the hospital which was a 5 minute run.

"Room 117 please." I tell the front desk lady with my heart racing 100 beats per second. Not just because of the run, but because I was so worried about Lia.

"Their not taking visitors quite yet. Take a seat over there and in about 15 minutes, she'll be ready." The lady says pointing over to a corner full of chairs to sit in.

10 minutes later:

"Oh my god, why are you here?" A voice asked. It was Matthew running in.

"Mr. Harris told me about it first." I said.

"Well leave, Lia doesn't love you anymore." Matthew says pointing towards the door.

"No." I said crossing my arms around my chest and sinking into the seat.

"Whatever, it's up to Lia if she wants you here." Matthew states and takes a seat across from me.

"Why are you here?" I mumble.

"I happen to love Lia like a sister. Not like you who cheated on her." Matthew says.

"I didn't mean it okay! It was a mistake! I never should have made! I didn't like that girl that I was kissing in the hallway in the first place. She made me do it! I couldn't tell her no because she threatened to tell the whole school that I kissed her first!" I yell all in one breath.

"Who was she anyway?" Matt asks.

"Lexie, the head cheerleader." I sigh.

"You went out with her 2 years ago man!" Matt states the obvious.

"Yeah I know. I broke up with her last year because she was too over protective of me and wouldn't let me hang out with any of my friends. She ruined my life. I never wanted to talk to her again until I found out that she still loves me. Then one day in the hallway she pulled me over in the janitors closet and started to make out with me. I didn't kiss her back but then she threatened to tell the whole school that I kissed her first. So I had to do what I had to do. She told me that she loves me today in the hallway and I had to say it back because of that. I'm so sorry. I feel so bad!" I yell with tears going down my face onto the cold ground.

Matt just sits there staring at me in shock.

"Lia can see visitors now. But she requested to see a Cameron Dallas first." The doctor said.

"I am Cameron. Is she okay?" I ask.

"Yes. Better than ever." The doctor says leading me into the room. I look back to see Matthew still staring at me.

He mouths, "I'm sorry." I nod.
