And, as usual, the portal reopened into another different world, once again. But this time instead of falling onto city concrete or soil ground, they all landed in the middle of a wide, vast meadow that was covered in a thick blanket of snow.
"Brr... don't tell me we're in Asgard again." Spider-Man shivered.
"Where are we now?! I'm getting real sick of just falling everywhere! Plus the portal rides are starting to make me dizzy and woozy." Nova groaned.
"You get used to it." Spider-Man helped up his teammates who dusted the snow off his costume.
"I've never seen this place before. Not even on any S.H.I.E.L.D worldwide maps. Where are we exactly?" Tiger questioned.
However, while everyone else looked confused, Iron Fist was the first to immediately recognize where they were. His eyes trailed around the vast meadow until he spotted a familiar looking palace. "That's... the monastery."
"Wait, what? You don't mean..." Spider-Man trailed off.
"We're back in K'un Lun. My home. Those mountain ranges are the exact same as before. And the monastery hasn't changed at all. This is K'un Lun." He stated.
"Wait. K'un Lun? This is where you grew up and trained?" Power-Man asked.
"Correct. This is where I earned the Iron Fist. And where I am meant to become king." He nodded his head.
"Wait. So, if we're in K'un Lun... what does that mean?" Nova asked. "What does this have to do with Ari?"
"We're about to find out." Spider-Man spoke up before taking the lead and headed to the monastery.
Iron Fist was about to stop him until the faint sound of laughter filled the air. He turned his head where he heard where the sound was coming from and headed in the other direction.
"Danny? Wait up!" Spider-Man caught wind when his partner began to wander off, the other three following behind him. "Danny, we have to stay focu-"
They all came to a stop when they saw a group of children holding hands and walking around in a circle while singing. They couldn't tell, but they could also see that someone was sitting in the middle of the circle.
"What's going on?" Nova asked.
"It looks like a game of some sorts." Power-Man stated.
"Not any game I am familiar with. Especially not one from here." Iron Fist added.
"Shh. Listen." Tiger hushed them and stayed as far as they could as to not get caught but still close enough to listen to their singing.
Their voices clashed together as they sang, their words ringing out a familiar melody. They all listened intently to the words the group of kids were singing as they played their game.
"~ Circle you, circle you
Stay with us and play forever
Circle you, circle you
Close the door and leave us never
Til we see the rising sun
This is only the beginning
Circle you, circle you
Aren't we having lots of fun?~"Their small song came to an end and they stopped moving, letting out small fit of giggles.
"Ok, my lady. Who is behind you?" A child asked the person who was sitting in the middle.
The group of heroes stood in anticipation, waiting for their response. However, Iron Fist's eyes narrowed as he tried to get a good look at who it was, hearing the familiarity of the person's voice. He thought that maybe it was one of the lady priestesses.
