Author's Pov:

The first ray of the sun gives hope to everyone who opens their eyes to look up. It's the hope that says you have a new day to live, a new day to work hard, to enjoy. We never know when it's our last day on Earth, but this first ray of sun tells us that we have an extra day to live.

Why does the sun rise in the east and set in the west? Well, there are many scientific reasons, but could it also rise and set in the same direction, right? However, it happens in different directions, explaining that as the day starts, it can never end the same. Life can never be constant. If we have at least a day remaining, we should utilize every moment. Maybe we won't be able to see the next day.

In this time, we all tend to go so deep into our lives that we forget to move from one place to another. We forget the people outside the screen. Now, we wake up with the help of alarms and forget to go outside the house to socialize, not just on social media. We are so modernized that we forget we are becoming machines in the race, forgetting that we have to live life. Today, we don't see the sunrise because we wake up late; last night, we were having a movie marathon, reading books, partying, etc., etc., etc.

A figure stood near the beach, observing the first rays of the sun rising from the ocean. The water shimmered like stars, and the sky was painted with a rosy hue across the morning sky. The clouds added more essence to the atmosphere, and the brown sand complemented the scene, with the cold air providing the perfect weather for the day.

Srida was strolling near the beach at nearly 7 am. Due to winter, the sun was rising late, and she had been enjoying the soothing weather for nearly two hours. Today was another day when she couldn't sleep, waking up to a heart-wrenching scene from her past. Without disturbing anybody, she reached Juhu Beach with her Royal Enfield. Sitting on the sand and looking at her surroundings, she noticed only a few people present—some taking morning walks and others enjoying the view while painting.

She sat, folding her legs in an Indian style, away from the water. She tried to build a sandcastle, but the dry sand would break every time she attempted to make a thick wall.

"Itwould not stand unless its wet" A cute voice disturbed her ultimate focus. Looking up, she saw a boy, nearly 10 years old, standing in front of her, wearing a cute pink sweater with grey melon muffs.

Srida: If it is wet, the sand will float. (She said with a cheeky smile, knowing she was wrong.)The boy facepalmed himself and looked at her with a shocked face, while Srida tried to control herself from smiling.

"Are, just a little wet, like dough," he explained like a child, making her chuckle at his frustrated face.

Srida: Thank you, baby. (She said, standing up and extending her hand for a shake.)

"I'm not a baby; my name is Veer," he said firmly, which made her smile, nevertheless, they shook hands.

Srida: My name is Srida. (She said with a smile.)

Srida: What are you doing here alone? Whom did you come with? (She asked when she noticed nobody with him.)

Veer: "I came with my papa; he's gone talking to people to join our beach cleaning drive." (He said while removing two lollipops from his pants pocket.)

He handed a lollipop to Srida while opening and putting one in his mouth. Srida accepted it but didn't open it for eating.

Srida: How could he leave you alone? (She said in a concerned voice.)

Veer: Because I saw you from far sitting here, you are looking like a good didi, so I came to you. (He said, shrugging, while Srida's mouth agape hearing his adult talks.)
