PART ONE: Chapter 3-Bad News

(2 months,4 weeks, 14 days.)

( 1 month,3 weeks, 13 days after breakup with Jacob.)

(Kye and Finn dating = 4 weeks, 10 days)

(Kaylee & Brian dating = 18 (2 weeks, 9 days)

Before the School Assembly; the group talk about their next step at defeating Kleodora. Unfortunatly, the conversation doesn't go well. Far from how they expected. All thanks to Lucas interjecting himself into their conversation.

"I told you guys. I don't know what to do." Finn looks up from his cell phone and perposly doesn't make eye contact with any of his friends. Including Kylie.

He remains staring at the Stage in the Auditorium and patiently waits for the Curtain to open to begin the Assembly. He doesn't want to deal with this issue right now. "I'm sure you will be fine with my brother's help with her." He says, his voice so low, almost a whisper.

"But Finn..." Finn raises his hand to Kylie. Finally making eye contact. His heart feels like it's going to leap out of his chest just by looking at her beautiful brown eyes. He shakes the sudden urge to take her and kiss her right in front of EVERYONE in the school.

"Kye." His voice breaks. "I'm sorry, but there isn't anything I can do." He lets out a winded sigh. "I wish I could be there for you guys in the fight, but I just can't." He says as he clenches his fists, fristrated he can't be at her side during the most important fight in the World!

"You can just go to The Sooshanie Police Training Academy next year. Or even the Summer Term in November." Jakobe mumbles under his breath.

Kaylee looks at her boyfriends brother and slighly flinches at his tone, laced with anger and dissappointment.

"No I can't. It's too long to wait." Finn takes his eyes off of the Stage and focuses on Jakobe next to him. "If I wait until the Summer Term in March," Finn's voice wavers. "Who knows what insane things will happen in the Ocean by then."

Kylie groans, suddenly Jakobe isn't the only person upset with Finn.

Finn looks to his future BondMate and sighs. "I'm sorry Kye. I really am." She shakes her tears away and sighs. "I know." She says, her words clipped and somber.

"I wish you could be there standing by our side though. It'd be a heck of a lot easier with 5 Natural Born....." Kylie's sentence runs short as she notices that they arent't alone. There are thousands of people who she almost blew a HUGE secret to.

"Natural Born what?" A voice behind Kylie causes her to nearly jump out of her seat. She swiftly looks behind her to see one single person behind the group.

"Lucas. How long have you been sitting behind us?" Finn glares at him.

Lucas' eyebrows crinkle together. "Barely a minute. I heard Kye mention something about Natural Born somtehing or other." He shrugs his broad shoulders and stares a Kylie. Her eyes lock onto him and she huffs.

Lucas raises his hands in defense. "Sorry. I keep forgetting that only a 'special' select group of people call you Kye." His voice a bit bitter.

Kylie shakes her head and groans. "That's not it." Her voice cracks, hoping he truly didn't hear anything else. Her shoulders rise and fall, her light brown hair falling off one shoulder. "Anyone I'm really close to is allowed to call me Kye." She chuckles nervously. "Lucas. You've known me since we were like 7. You are one of those 'select people.'" She air quotes the last two words.
