The Hunger Games: Titus's Games

the Games day 3 part 5

Just up ahead on the trail I hear voices. I motion for Tyler to stop as I go ahead and look around the corner. I see the boy and Girl from 5 they’re talking about killing Titus. I guess everyone knows he’s the biggest competition.

“Lead him to ridge and I’ll jump on him and kill him.” Says the boy.

“I don’t know I’m scared.” She says.

“I know but if I’m the distraction you’ll freeze and I’ll die.” He says.

“Very true” she says and they run up the trail. Then in front of me drops a clump of snow. I look up and see district 8 he was on the hill above me and heard everything I heard. He didn’t see me I think so I sign to Tyler what district 5 plans to do.

“So what do we do?” Tyler asked.

‘We follow and hope everyone kills each other and if not we kill who’s left.’ I sign.

“Ok, but I don’t have a weapon and also if you haven’t noticed I can’t us an axe.” He says.

‘I’ve noticed’ I sign.

We tiptoe up the trail and find what I think the ridge is. It’s an entrance to a cave over top there’s a small path and over that a lot of snow.

The ridge is across a valley from us and we see the boy from 5 get in position. And the girl is running away from Titus the huge monster that eats people. The girl trips and Titus is right on top of her. I start running knowing what’s going to happen. I thought it was a good plan and we would have to face the girl and boy from 5 but the boy from 5 is going to let Titus eat his partner then kill him. Tyler is running after me not knowing what I’m thinking.

Then I see it, Titus with his huge body slams into the girl she goes unconscious immediately. Then Titus rips her head off. I see the snow go red and I’m only a few meters away I freeze as Tyler runs into me and covers my eyes. All I can see under Tyler’s hand is the red of the girl’s blood all over the snow. The canon goes off and a monstrous sound comes from in front of us and I pull Tyler’s hand off my face. Titus is being chocked by the boy from 5.  Then Titus grabs the boys head and rips his head off too or at least that’s what I think happens because Tyler covers my eyes again and the canon fires. I’ve curled into Tyler not wanting to know what happens. Then there’s a gross eating noise and Tyler’s head is on mine and I think he sees it, Titus eating the tributes from 5.
