Escapism II

The sunset light was creeping into your room in soft, scarlet hue through the opened curtains. Painting the opposite walls, painting your body, and your commander's bare skin with it as you both laid there catching your breaths.

Legs tangled, arms draped over one another, and heartbeats slowing down with each passing second. You're both coming down from the high of your orgasm over the messy bedsheets. Surrounded by your scattered clothes over the floor. Cushions and pillows thrown in many directions. There's a huge fireplace crackling in front of the bed. A huge window, with a door that leads to a huge balcony is facing you as you stare at it. Your eyes absentmindedly following the small particles swarming in those warm rays of sunlight while your mind dives deep into its thoughts.

Two days...

It's been two days now since you've left that palace and never went back.

Two days, with no one's interruptions, no one's judgment, and no Levi.

Two days, you've spent them alone, here, in this fancy hotel room your commander booked for just the two of you.

Forty-eight hours of nothing but hot and pleasurable sex, late night talks, cold morning strolls, and so much shopping and delicious food. Because he said he wanted to spoil you, and spoiling you he did. He gave you all. His time, his money and his touches.

But, everything must come to an end, eventually...

Thoughts you've paused and put on hold for two days now are coming back to you. Because these are the last few hours of you two alone, in this uninterrupted world you both created for yourselves. As midnight approaches, you know it's time to go, and it's time to end it. A few hours from now, both of you should be going back to the palace, and get into that carriage to head back for Wall Rose. To your force, and to the old life you had before coming here.

Because that's how it feels...

It feels like an old life, like a distant past of yours. You feel like you had gone through what feels like years with him here, and not only a few days.

The things you both shared, the things you both did, how he made you feel, what he did to you. That deep need that formed and that indescribable connection you're feeling. More than a soul embrace, more than a physical touch. It all feels like it took years of you both to reach it, to have it. Or maybe, it's just that the world really does move on different axis when you're with him. That time really feels funny and strange when you're spending it with him.

I don't know how to even explain it...

But you know one thing, and that is, you're not ready to go back there yet. In fact, you don't want to...

"What is it?" His voice comes deep and hoarse next to your ears, as you lay your head over his chest. Your leg up and draped over his thigh, and your arm is holding him. Rising and lowering with each breath he makes. Erwin's hand moves up from your waist and strokes your hair, then his fingertips make a little soothing rub over your scalp. "Something just stirred in here."

You breathe a silent laugh, then shake your head and glance up at him. His eyes are closed and the soft rays of sunset are hitting half of his face. "I'm thinking of how much I love it here." You whisper.
