The weekend went by in just seconds for Felix, and when it was time for him to go back to school, he wasn't really in the mood.

"You've been a bit quiet lately." Charlie noted, as they walked down to school.

"Have you heard anything from Evan?" Felix said, dry, while changing the topic.

"Not really." Charlie confessed, concerned. "He's usually the first to tell me about his weekend."

Felix sighed, and lowered his head, while continuing to walk.

"He might as well get away from me, i'd make things awkward." Felix mentioned, a hurt tone in his voice.

"Hey, there's always hope, hope's the last thing to die." Charlie encouraged.

"But you know, i don't think he's ever looked for anything more than a friendship with me either way." Felix said, pessimistic and assuming.

"You can't be sure of that."

"We can never be sure of anything, it's infuriating." Felix said, dry and anxious.

"Maybe he rejected Judy or something, he barely knows her." Charlie noted.

"She's probably pretty and funny and everyone loves her, there's no chance." Felix said, a little less rejectful.

"Well, after a liar comes your desire, as the saying, that i totally didn't just made up says." Charlie said, playfully.

Felix chuckled inevitably, he turned his head down and smiled.

Charlie and Felix split up to their lockers like every day, and he heard someone use the locker beside him, but they didn't really do anything recognizable, nor did they say something to Felix.

It could be Evan, but he wasn't gonna talk to him, not now.

A few seconds passed, and the person beside him finally talked.

"I thought you noticed me." Evan said innocently.

Felix stood up straight, his blank expression on, he leaned on the locker and shook his head.

"Everything's alright?" Evan asked, actually interested.

Felix didn't say anything yet, he sighed and crossed his arms.

"Why are you being quiet today?" Evan asked, concerned.

Felix walked away, throwing his backpack on him after it began to slip from his shoulder.

"Wait, Felix!" Evan called out, and Felix ignored.

He threw his hoodie's hat on his head, and walked to his class.

Evan didn't understand why Felix began to ignore him, but he didn't want to push too far.

At lunch, he sat alone, but then people began to sit along with him, and he didn't want to deal with that right now.

"Dude, you should try talking to Judy, maybe you can get on a date with her." Benjamin, commonly Ben, mentioned, based on his kiss with her at the party.

Hold on, the party kiss, what if Charlie told Felix about it and he got mad?

"Not really feeling like it."

"Why not? You'd seem like a cool couple." Ben asked, mentioned his reasoning behind it, really dumb.

"Don't make me start on it." Evan said between teeth, in a forced smile, letting his unconformity show.

"Anyways, so the coach says you could join the team, and that you can start to come with us starting Wednesday." Carter, one of the soccer team members mentioned, since he made his petition to join the team last friday.

"Good." Evan said, smiling.

"You're a bit short, but you'll do fine, this is a running sport, not a jumping sport." Carter noted, trying to give him an idea of it.

There's one part that truly frightened him, the locker room part, with all the boys around, he assumed he could hide around and change, but the locker room wasn't that big.

Hopefully, that part wouldn't be a huge problem, so he sighed and nodded.

His mind went in many directions as people talked to him, they were in the way when he tried to look at Felix in the distance, which was on another table with Charlie.

"Now, what's the matter with you?" Ben asked, a bit annoyed.

"What matter?" Evan asked, innocently.

"You seem all bummed out, it's not normal in you."

"I can have my bad days, thank you." Evan said, playfully.

"Sure..." Ben said, not convinced.

"It's weird you made out with Judy at her party and then decided to not go along with it." Carter mentioned.

"I... Uh..." Evan mumbled.

Then the bell rang, and he was saved for now, he tactically retreated to his next class to avoid these kinds of questions.
