When you get to work Marc tells you about the upcoming game, it's MSBY Black Jackals vs. EJP Raijin. You don't know much about the other team—or anything. The only reason you even knew about MSBY was because of Sakusa.

Marc also tells you that you'll be doing some social media work with the team's social media manager. "I don't use social media enough to know what's trending, "Don't worry Sani will help you with it, you won't be working alone," he assures you and you nod.

"So the game is tomorrow? In Shizuoka City?" you ask for clarification on earlier information Marc had given you. "Yes, but I know what you're thinking. No, you do not have to take a 4-hour long train ride. Just get here at 8 am tomorrow and we're all taking a personal driver there." he explains. Your eyes widen and you can't help but think 'Wow they got money' but you only nod at the man with no verbal response.

"Also we'll probably book a hotel and we'll leave the next morning so nobody has to get home late," he adds on and you're even more in shock. "You'll room with Himari," you nodded at his words before he sent you off to head back to your desk.

Himari was the only other girl on the main marketing team—you'd met her once at the game you went to last week. She arrived late but you spoke with her briefly, for the most part, she seemed nice.

When you head back to your desk, you sit down, pull out your phone, and open the App Store to download TikTok. No, you hadn't had it before but you'd needed to be aware of trends on there for ideas or the social media team. You didn't immediately open the app and create an account, you just turned your phone off and started opening emails on your computer.

There wasn't much for you to do yet you just felt like an assistant again. Which was boring so the only thing that kept your work days entertaining were the volleyball matches and some of the chit-chat you make with your coworkers. When there's time.

When you're checking your email you don't see anything special so you open a new tab and immediately there's a suggested headline for you.

KODZUKEN SHUTS DOWN DATING RUMORS IN LIVESTREAM

Last night during a live stream, YouTuber and CEO Kenma Kozume--better known by his online persona Kodzuken. Answered questions in a livestream one in particular regarding previous tweets and articles about having a girlfriend.

Kodzuken said; "Oh that's not my girlfriend. That's an employee, I just wanted to see what would happen if we were in public. I thought it'd be funny." he started, he was seen pondering his next words for a while before continuing.

"She's 100% taken though so quit the rumors. Thanks." This comment led many to believe that Kozume confirmed that his employee and volleyball player Sakusa Kiyoomi are a couple.

Earlier this week there were more sightings of the two together and we covered that in this article. Many want to know who this mystery girl is and how she is so connected to the volleyball industry. First with an Olympic player and now a CEO. She must be quite the character.

You stared at your screen in disbelief, your eyes wide, and jaw hung open. "What the hell?" you muttered as you reread parts of the article. The last sentences and Kozume's words specifically. "100% taken my ass--" you kept muttering "Maybe he's trying to help?" you question as you click off the tab and your elbows rest on your desk.

You're distressed again so you hold your face with your hands while closing your eyes. "I'll be home soon and I won't have to see this," you told yourself.

Just then your phone buzzed on your desk and you weren't expecting to see a message from an unknown number. The first text read, 'This is Sakusa' You couldn't help but laugh imagining the message in his monotone voice before saving his contact.

Sakusa

This is Sakusa.
Do you want to discuss
days you're free?

I'm free on the weekends and
Mondays. So whatever works
for you let me know!

You watched as three dots appeared in a bubble on Sakusa's end then disappeared. It happened several times before he sent a new message.

Okay. I will.

Oh. That was it? You stared at the text and closed your phone again. For a moment you thought that seeing Sakusa play tomorrow was the only good thing about working. Until you thought about how rumors could get worse.

You spent the remaining hours at work running a few errands around the office whenever Marc asked.

"Y/n before you leave," Marc called behind you as you began to leave the office. "Yes?" you stopped and turned to face the man. "Theo is going to be at the game tomorrow, he'd probably like it if you sat next to him. Just saying." Marc told you with a smile on his face.

"Oh, okay! That's fine Theo's nice I can sit next to him." you nod before taking your leave and saying goodbye. When you're sure you're out of earshot and you make it to the elevator, you mumble to yourself. "That was odd,"
