☆Arriving back at the familiar apartment building gave you an overwhelming sense of relief. When you entered the familiar hallway and started to your apartment you could see someone exiting Sakusa's apartment.
Your stomach churned as you got closer and the figure was walking in your direction. Thankfully when you were close enough you saw it was Sakusa himself.
"Hey there stranger," you smiled once you were close enough in proximity. "Hi," he replied stopping in front of you. You started to inspect the outfit Sakusa had on.
He was wearing a black baseball cap, windbreaker, and pants. He sure owns a lot of black. The only thing he had that wasn't black was the white face mask in his hand.
"Where are you headed?" you queried, your brows knit together closely. "Grocery shopping," started with a ghost of a frown on his face. Before you could make a remark his eyes glistened briefly with an idea. "Actually," he began again. "Would you wanna come with?"
You had thought this was an interesting request. Taken aback by it you repeated it to him. "Go grocery shopping with you?" you question for clarification.
The athlete nods slowly before adding. "You don't have to, I was just thinking for...company," he shrugs nervously. You hadn't seen the nervous side of Sakusa before—not to where it was noticeable at least.
You swore you could almost see beads of sweat forming on his head.
"I don't see why not," you retort before looking at the bag you had in your hand from the trip. Then you looked down to the pajamas you still had in. "Oh!" you exclaimed in embarrassment. "Could you just give me a minute to change and put this stuff away?"
Sakusa didn't think about a reply for very long. He nodded and told you he'd wait for you at the elevator.
At that, you rushed a few more steps down the hall and to your apartment. You had pulled out your keys so swiftly and unlocked the door with ease. You didn't even lock the door behind you because you were in such a hurry.
Besides you'd be leaving not long after you got ready anyway.
When you reached your room you tossed your bag onto your bed and hurried to your closet.
There wasn't much to look through. You quickly settled on a shirt and pair of jeans and swapped out your current shoes for ones that closely matched your shirt.
After you changed into the new outfit you briefly studied yourself in the mirror in your bathroom. Making sure you looked presentable enough. You looked good enough so you grabbed your phone and your regular bag before heading out.
When you step out into the hallway you see Sakusa was awkwardly standing where you had left him. He had his phone out and stood closer to one of the hallway walls. His eyes were glued to his phone until he heard you shut your door.
When he heard the door shut behind you his phone was back in his pockets almost immediately. His eyes didn't hesitate to travel to your figure as you made your way down the hall. Once you got about three feet away you greeted him again.
"Sorry if I took so long," you apologized with an apologetic look on your face. "No it's all good, you didn't take long at all," he assures you as the two of you fall into perfectly synchronized steps while heading toward the elevator.
As you approach the elevator you instinctively glance at Sakusa's hands. No gloves, you note internally. So you quickly take charge and hit the down button on the elevator, your action was swift and he didn't even bat an eye.
"So what groceries do you need?" you ask, both of you stepping into the elevator. "Just the basics, mainly vegetables," he shrugs, watching as you hit the garage floor's button.
While the doors started to close a brief silence filled the air while you took a deep breath. You thought about what to say next but you were unsure. You hadn't felt this awkward around a boy since high school.
So you found yourself staring at the floor numbers and watching as '14 turned to '13'. However, instead of the number continuing to go down, it stopped at '13' and the doors opened.
You were almost relieved to see someone else at the elevator ready to enter until you realized you'd be slightly unable to talk to Sakusa. You were also surprised that the person in question was a guy maybe your and Sakusa's age.
Which was only shocking since most of the building residents were older.
The man in question had dark brown hair that was parted down the middle. His lips were a nice pink color and rather plump. He looked like a model almost. His black eyeglasses suit his face shape as well. He was also dressed in a suit and had a bag slung over his shoulder.
He barely acknowledged either of you though once he stepped inside. The both of you had moved over so now you were a step closer to Sakusa. While the mystery man was on the opposite side of you--closest to the button panel.
You watched as his slender finger outstretched toward the garage floor button and he stopped only inches away noticing it was already lit up. "Oh," his voice was quiet but it was very smooth.
You had a bad staring problem because you tried to examine his attire and make assumptions about him. Which you were quickly caught in the act doing--but by both him and Sakusa.
Your head quickly turned forward to the elevator doors because you were now embarrassed.
"Do you two live in the building?" You didn't expect his question so you glanced over to Sakusa who had put his mask on. He wasn't much help either as he shrugged out you before you looked back to the man. "Yeah we do, are you new to the building?" you asked back curiously.
The corners of his eyes crinkled just as the corners of his mouth perked upwards. "Yeah, I just moved in a week ago," he tells you before reaching a hand out to you.
"I'm Daniel Jang," he introduced sticking a hand out toward you. You smiled kindly at Daniel as you introduced yourself back, "I'm Y/n L/n," Just as the words left your mouth you were ready to shake his hand in return but you were pulled away.
You hadn't noticed but you had just reached the garage floor and before you could shake hands with Daniel, Sakusa was pulling you out to the hall with him.
"Oh, It was nice to meet you," you say to Daniel while you try to keep up with Sakusa.
Sakusa wasn't dragging you through the garage--that'd be an exaggeration. He only pulled you out of the elevator to get your attention. So now the two of you were walking through the parking garage toward his car in silence.
You unconsciously looked back to see where Daniel had gone and saw him walking to a different side of the parking garage.
"Are you interested in him or something?" Sakusa's voice asked beside you drawing your attention to him. "What do you mean?" you retort and now the car is in your line of sight.
"Nevermind,"
