At 5:46 you were finished getting ready for your interview, you had nerves bundled up in your stomach as the clock nears 6. You were nervous about your interview because you weren't guaranteed the job, you had to do well.

You were all nervous about this car ride you were accepting from your grumpy neighbor whom you've spoken with so little. Any other day you think you'd enjoy this much more but now you can only think the worse. Sure, he was a pro athlete, but his chances of being a serial killer weren't 0%. They never are.

You also weren't going to pretend this wasn't the perfect opportunity for you to learn more about him. In fact, you had thought about it and this could technically be your 5th sign. Your stoic neighbor who you'd known for only a few weeks and had talked to very little throughout that time was offering to give you a ride to your job interview. Why would he do that?

He had to be interested in you to some capacity, maybe he wasn't as closed off as you originally assumed. Or maybe he needed to make some friends that weren't his rowdy teammates? Sure you'd only met the one guy...with the eyebrows, but you had definitely heard a few of the others yesterday.

Currently, you were sitting at the kitchen island on a stool impatiently bouncing your leg up and down. The kitchen was closest to your door so you sat there nervously waiting for maybe a knock at your door from Sakusa. The two of you didn't plan where you would meet, so you just assumed he'd knock at your door.

At about 6:20 you realized that might have been a bad assumption to make. So you grabbed your jacket off the island, put it on, and headed towards the door where you grabbed your keys from the hook on the wall.

As you exited your apartment and shut the locked door behind you, you were about to head down the right hall to the elevator when you heard someone call out your name. "L/n!" The low voice wasn't too loud but it didn't take a genius to realize that the owner of said voice was Sakusa Kiyoomi.

You whipped your head around to see the dark-haired male walking towards you with keys in hand. "Were you gonna leave without me?" He asked his voice in his regular monotone. The both of you now walked together towards the elevator, your footsteps out of sync. "I kind of assumed you forgot or something," you said half truthfully with a very noticeable fake laugh.

"Why would I forget?" he asked as the two of you arrived at the elevator, he pressed the down button and only seconds later the doors opened. "I mean I only asked you a few hours ago" he shrugged when the two of you entered the elevator. "I don't know then, I guess I also was just overthinking." you said while you eyed Sakusa's veiny hands reaching to press the 'Garage' button.
