"THERE ALL better," Will said as he finished healing Maisie's hand.
Maisie chuckled, "Thanks, Will." She sighed looking around at the cabin. Not much had changed in the past few months, the only difference was her bright yellow guitar was hanging up on the wall.
"We put that up after the Battle of Manhattan," Will explained.
Maisie grabbed the guitar from the wall. She sat down on her bed and strummed a chord, flinching as it played horribly out of tune.
"You could have at least kept it in tune," she commented.
Will chuckled, then frowned. Maisie was too busy tuning her guitar to notice.
"How...how are you alive?" Will asked.
Maisie sighed, setting her guitar to the side, "I have no idea. I really don't. All I remember is...well dying. Then I woke up only the bus with Jason, Piper, and Leo."
Will sighed, sitting down next to his sister. He rapped an arm around his sister and she leaned into him. He kissed the top of her head. She felt tears filling her eyes, and buried her face in his shoulder. He wrapped his other arm around her, "Hey, what is it?"
"I-I...Lina," Maisie sobbed, not able to get the right words out.
Will hugged her tighter, "Hey, they're going to find her. Everyone is out looking for her and Percy right now."
"But-but what if..." Maisie couldn't bring herself to say was she was thinking. She didn't know what she would do if Lina died. "What if she...?"
"No," Will shook his head. "She and Percy can take care of each other."
Maisie pulled away, sniffing loudly, "Are you s-s-sure?"
Will wiped the tears from his sister's face, "Positive."

Maisie stepped out of the Apollo cabin and cried out in pain. She clutched at her side and found that she had a large cut on her side, right where she had gotten the injury that had killed her.
"Maisie!" Will exclaimed, running to his sister's side.
"I'm okay," she tried to assure him, even though she knew that wasn't true.
"No, you're not," Will rapped his arm around her and she flinched. "We need to get you to the infirmary."
Maisie sighed, "Yeah, you're probably right."
Will practically carried her out of the Apollo cabin, and that's when someone caught her eye. There was a woman, no, a goddess, staring at her from outside the Hera cabin was the goddess herself.
she spoke without moving her lips, as if the words were coming right into Maisie's mind.
Maisie tried to say something, but her lips wouldn't move.
As Hera began to disappear, Maisie's vision blurred and she collapsed, Will barely managing to catch her before she hit the ground.

Dreams were the worst part of being a demigod. Maisie's dream didn't start out badly though. It started with a memory, back before she even knew she was a demigod.
"Maisie, what's the matter?" her mom asked as she sat on the side of her bed.
Maisie didn't answer, she just buried her head deeper into her pillow.
"Okay, fine don't tell me," she sighed, "But you know what I'm going to have to do, right?"
Maisie lifted her head ever so slightly, and mumbled, "What?"
"I'm going to have to go get the tickle monster," she pulled Maisie closer and began tickling her, causing her to laugh and squeal in protest.
"Moooooommmmmmmyyyyyyy!" Maisie squealed, giggling as her mother continued to tickle her. "Let meeeeee go!"
"Sorry, mommy's not here," Naomi joked, speaking in a deeper voice than usual. "Only the tickle monster."
Maisie continued to squeal and giggle, "Moooommmyyyyyyyyyyyyy!"
Naomi finally let her daughter go, and gave her a few seconds to catch her breath again, before asking, "Did something happen at school?"
Maisie looked down at the comforter of her bed. Something had happened at school. Kids would make fun of her because she couldn't read very well, because of her dyslexia, but at the time Maisie hadn't learned that she had dyslexia yet.
Before she could answer the question, the dream changed. This time she was standing in what looked to be a forest. She saw two people standing a few feet away from her, but she couldn't tell who they were.
"Hello?" Maisie called out. "Who are you?"
"Maisie?" one of them asked, and Maisie recognized her voice.
"Lina?" Maisie asked, trying to run to her girlfriend, but she felt a hand grab her shoulder, holding her back.
She looked back and saw Hera was the one stopping her, "Maisie Solace, we don't have much time. My prison is growing stronger, so we must make this quick. I have brought you back for a reason. You must free me from my prison by the solstice, only four days away, to repay your debt to me. You will not fail me, or my gift will disappear and you will have to return to the Underworld."
"Maisie!" Lina called out again. "Help! Maisie!"
Maisie tried to break away from the goddess, but Hera wouldn't let her go, "You must not go to her. Free me by the solstice, or you won't live long enough to see her again."
Hera's last words weren't a threat, she was informing Maisie.
"Maisie!" Lina's voice cried out once again.
"Lina, I'm coming!" Maisie shouted, finally breaking free from Hera's grip, but she wasn't able to run to Lina. The ground had rooted her in place. Maisie looked down and saw the dirt beneath her feet was now covering her feet. The earth itself was eating her up. She tried to free herself from the dirt, but couldn't break out.
"Help!" Lina shouted again, as the dirt rose above Maisie's head, trapping her in the dirt.
