"Julia!" I announced, as I flung the door open and closed it with care. She stood waiting at the door, with nothing in her hands, but a grim face. She looked pallid, ghostly, and scared though I did not know of what. Immediately I went to her and took her hands in mine. The pulse in her fingers beat rapidly. "Julia—" I said, and she burst into a torrent of tears. Wordlessly I wrapped my arms around her body and embraced her tightly, hoping to force all the tears and sadness out of her, though I knew emotions did not act as so. To my surprise, she hugged me back and her crying seemed to stop all audible queues, it became silent and only with the slight contracting of the body when a tear would be coming did she move. I hugged a statue full of life, and it pierced me. My Mom was right, and her sadness was cured by my sureness. "I'm ready," I said, and her cries became audible again. Loud, heavy sobs that were seemingly uncontrollable for her.

"I love you," she wept.

"I love you too," I said, and clutched her tighter.
