Between the small kisses swapped and brief moments alone the couple had shared between the morning ceremony and evening reception, it was obvious that they were absolutely infatuated with each other.

"Make way for the newly wedded couple! His Royal Highness, Crowned Prince Scott Denholm of the Fae Realm, Duke of Aquatia and Frostine! His Royal Highness Prince Will Renais Denholm, Prince Consort of the Fae Realm, Duke of Aquatia and Frostine!" Owen called, pushing open the door to reveal the two husbands who were standing side by side, holding hands.

Tango was the first to approach the two with his older sister after the crowd went back to mingling between themselves, "Your Royal Highnesses, may I offer my congratulations on behalf of my family."

"Your Royal Highness, thank you so much," Scott smiled before gesturing to the female blaze born, "Hello Princess Calida, good to see you."

"Hi Scott! It's really nice to meet you Will, I'm Calida Tek, Crowned Princess and Princess Regent of the Nether, I'm Tango's older sister," Calida beamed.

Will bowed his head, "An honour to meet you Princess, thank you for coming."

"Would you do me the honour of a dance and a chat?" Calida offered her hand to the consort.

Will gave Scott a quick kiss on the cheek, "I'll see you soon, love you."

"Love you too, I'll see you soon dear, I'm going to dance with Tango," Scott pressed a kiss to Will's forehead before moving to dance with Tango.

"Hey baby, how are you doing mentally?" Tango asked gently, he and Scott had been dating for about two weeks and he had taken to checking in with the Fae whenever he could because he knew Scott wouldn't check in with himself even if he was completely checked out mentally.

"I'm a little bit drained I guess, I had an argument with my father between the ceremony and now," Scott muttered through his smile, bowing to Tango as the music started to play.

"What did he say to you my flame? Did he hurt you?" Tango questioned gently, he cared for the prince, he was all but living with his boyfriend and platonic partner and he cared for them both.

"I don't want to talk Tang, if I am caught crying then things only get worse, besides, I'm worried about Will at the moment," Scott replied through the aching pain in his legs due to how much he had moved that day.

Tango led Scott off the dance floor and out into the gardens, helping him sit on the limestone wall, "Talk to me, what is worrying you, my flame?"

"The amount of bandages I see in my inventory every week is getting really concerning. A new roll is purchased every week. I never knew where they went until today because I've never really minded, we have a lot of playful spars at our palace so I assumed they were used for those," the Fae prince muttered in panic.

"Breathe for me," Tango coached gently, holding Scott's hand gently.

"I've always assumed they were just in case but I should have but two and two together. They aren't regular bandages either, the ones Will was wearing today, they are special ones to help us when we come into contact with iron," Scott breathed, though his voice notably darkened at the mention of the metal that hurt his species, "I have no iron in my palace Tango, not when it could hurt me and my friends. That means he must have sustained those injuries before we got engaged. And he's always wearing gloves too, now I think of it, how could I have missed the signs?"

"Do not start panicking my flame. I remember when you were younger and a human burned you with iron and you didn't tell anyone for days until Etho caught you changing the coverings and you spilled everything to him. Maybe Will has similar reasons as you did then but if it reassures you then I can speak to him about it tomorrow?" Tango offered, lacing his hand together with Scott in an attempt to soothe him.

"Thank you Tang, you always know what to say," Scott blinked slowly in order to make sure no tears gathered in his eyes just in case someone caught him.

"Of course, anything for you, my flame," Tango stood and offered a hand, "Now I believe you have two more dances to get through, your mother son dance and your first dance with your new husband then you can party to your heart's content or go have a nap."

Scott placed his hand gently atop Tango's and stood slowly, "Of course, yes, let's go find Will and Calida."

Inside the ballroom, Will was laughing alongside the heiress of the Tek family like he had known her for years, "Your sisters have been so incredible this visit, they have been so polite and cheerful, I haven't really interacted with young nobles for years now and they are great."

Calida bowed her head at the praise directed towards her family, "Tango and I essentially raised them so to hear that they have been well behaved makes me feel accomplished and very proud of Tango and I as well as them."

"You raised them very well," Will smiled, "There are ten of you if I remember correctly? You are the oldest, then Tango and then you both have eight younger sisters?"

"Yeah! In order it's me, Tango, Blaise, then the twins Ember and Enya, followed by Seraphina, Tana and lastly the second set of twins, Pele and Phoenix," Calida listed with a beaming grin.

Will smiled as his husband and platonic partner joined the two of them and sat at their table, "Hello love! Hello Tango! We were just talking about Tango and Calida's sisters."

"Honestly they are such sweethearts. Now, we are needed for a few dances before we can celebrate more, are you ready to dance my love?" Scott cupped Will's cheek gently, staring at him with love in his eyes.

"I'd love to, my dear," Will pressed his cheek into Scott's hand for a few moments before standing up for their official dances.
