It was not an easy change for her to adjust to, especially not in such a short amount of time.

There were members of Court who had never once even paid her any mind that were suddenly bowing when she passed by in the halls.

The honeymoon party had returned to Court two days prior and Katherine had taken to her rooms feigning illness until the night of her official introduction to Court as a way to start to adjust on her own terms.

Katherine knew that, now that she lived in the Prince's Consort's Suite, her rooms had a passage that connected to Scott's own chambers so she could make it to his room whilst avoiding the gentlemen that wished to curry favour with her now she was a Princess Consort and not a serving girl.

The sparkling tiara felt wrong on her head, but she pushed down those nerves as she made her way through the passage, knocking on Scott's passage door.

When the door opened, Katherine was greeted by a very enthusiastic tabaxi, flashing his endearing toothy grin up at her.

"Hello Oz," Katherine smiled, looking down at her stepson.

"Hello Mrs Katherine!" Oz replied, offering his hand to the new princess and his new stepmother.

Katherine took the outstretched hand and smiled as she was led deeper into the room and saw Scott adjusting his crown in front of his mirror.

"Your Grace," Katherine teased playfully, trying to banish the nerves that were knotting in her chest.

Scott turned with a bright smile on his face, "Kat!" He exclaimed happily, kissing her free hand softly.

Katherine smiled gently, "Is it normal to feel like I am going to faint?" She chuckled awkwardly, fanning herself with the hand Scott had just released.

"Katherine, dear, you do not have to do this, we can say you are still ill and buy us a few more days," Scott turned his full attention towards Katherine.

"It is just nerves Scott," Katherine reassured him quickly, "Is Oz coming with us?" She changed the topic quickly.

"He will be attending tonight but he will be going ahead with Will," Scott explained, "He will be here soon to pick up Oz and go ahead."

Katherine nodded slowly, "Run me through the order of events again, please?"

"We will be announced separately, I will go first and introduce you to my parents. Next, we will greet the Princess Consorts and you will be formally introduced to them. After that, we officially greet Will and Oz. Finally, we have a brief conversation with the lords and ladies of the privy council," Scott listed, setting his own crown on his head, "Then you will be free to socialise as you please."

Katherine repeated the list back to the prince a few times to settle it into her memory and cement it into her schedule for the evening, "I can do this."

Oz let out a small, supportive cheer, "Yes you can Mrs Katherine!" He assured her with his endearing, toothy grin.

Katherine ruffled his hair gently, "Thank you Oz, I appreciate the support," she chuckled as the passage door creaked open.

"Will!" Oz beamed excitedly, toddling quickly over towards the older half born to hug his legs.

"Hello there!" Will chuckled as he leaned down to pick up the tabaxi, "Are you ready to go?"

Oz nodded quickly, "Scott taught me how to greet his parents and the Princess Consorts," he smiled at his achievements of memorising it, "And how to properly greet him and Mrs Katherine when they come over to us!"
