Aria West had always grown up around wealthy people. So when her parents sent her to public school, after homeschooling her for her whole life, it came as a huge shock to her. She became close with Peter Parker and Ned Leeds, she would even go as far as to call them her best friends. Aria's childhood friend Gwen Stacey was sent to the school as well, so the two girls and boys shown became known as the core four. Aria slowly found herself falling in love with Peter Parker. But she didn't tell anyone. The only person she did tell was Gwen. She wouldn't dare tell anyone, especially as Peter was head over heels with anyone who wasn't her, first Liz Allen and now MJ Watson.

Aria was walking through the school corridor to her locker, listen to music, so she didn't hear Peter calling her. As the brunette opens her locker, Peter takes the earphones out of her ears, causing her to jump slightly. "Oh, Pete. I didn't see you there." Aria says. "I know. I was calling you the whole way down the corridor. People were looking at me like I was crazy." Peter says, causing Aria to slightly laugh. "Sorry." Aria says. "It's all cool." Peter says. "So, I was thinking for our weekly movie night tonight with Gwen and Ned we could watch the new Fast and Furious film, my dad's just brought the DVD." Aria says, grabbing her book. "Sounds cool." Peter says, sounding not interested. Aria looks at Peter after grabbing her book, only to find him staring at something behind her. Aria turned around to see it wasn't something, it was someone. And it was MJ Watson. Aria holds back a sigh as she turns back to Peter. "Or maybe we could watch the new Beauty and The Beast film?" Aria suggests, knowing Peter hates musicals. "Yeah, that sounds fun." Peter says, still staring at MJ. "Peter!" Aria nearly shouts, snapping Peter out of trance. "Sorry." Peter says, shaking his head a little before looking at Aria. "What film did I first suggest?" Aria asks. "Uhm...Star Wars?" Peter asks, causing Aria to scoff. "I'll see you later." Aria says, closing her locker and turning on her heels to leave. "Aria, no. Come on. Please. I'm sorry." Peter tries, but Aria ignores him and continues to walk away. "Hi, Aria." MJ says, as she passes her. "Hi, MJ." Aria says, visiably sad but trying to cover it up.

Aria found herself at the Avengers tower, Aria lets out a sigh before pressing the doorbell. "Who's there?" Happy Hogan's voice comes over a speaker. "Hi, I'm Aria West. I'm a friend of Spider-Man." Aria informs him, thankful that she knew Peter was Spider-Man in that moment so she could get in easier. "I need to talk to Tony Stark. It's important." "Just let me confirm your identity a minute." Happy says, before it goes silent. "I have seen her with the kid a couple times. Let her in." She hears Tony say after a moment. "Okay, opening the door now." Happy says, directed at Aria. Aria turns to the door as the doors open. "Thank you." Aria says, looking at the camera before walking inside.

After Aria didn't show up to Peter's for the movie night Friday, Peter showed up to hers Saturday morning. Her dad let him in and he walked to her room where he found her sat on her bed. "Hey, there you are. Listen, I really need to talk to you. I'm so sorry if you feel like I haven't been paying attention to you. You mean so much to me, Aria. You are my best friend and I can't lose you. Please, you have to forgive me." Peter rambles, before noticing th confused look on Aria's face. "Why are you looking at me like that?" "Who are you?" Aria asks. "What do you mean?" Peter asks. "Who are you?" Aria repeats. "You know me. It's me Peter. Is this some kind of prank to make me feel bad because I already feel bad." Peter says. "No, I generally do not know who you are." Aria says. "Aria, please stop messing with me." Peter says, sitting down beside Aria on the bed. "I'm not messing with you." Aria says. "Where did you go last night?" Peter asks. "I went to see Tony Stark." Aria says. Tony had told Peter that a girl came round the night before and had her memory wiped by Bruce. That's when it hit him. It was Aria. Aria had Bruce and Tony wipe her memories of him. He had lost his best friend.
