"Tom." I hushed out his voice, standing beside his door.

He swung his cracked door open, looking me up and down. "What."

I moved some of the hair, away from my neck. Tilting it at him. "Does, the concealer look too yellow?" I pointed to the spot, I was a bit panicked. Considering that it was the first day of senior year, and I didn't want to show up with a bruised neck.

"Did you?" He raised a eyebrow of suspicion. "No, just kissing. Now is it, noticeable?" I tilted my head, to the side giving him a better look. "You're good." He smiled, bringing my hair back to the spot. He ran his fingers through the beach curls, I had just finished curling.

He went to my septum, fixing it. "Anyone ever tell you, you'd look good with studs?" Tom poked at both sides of my nose. "I have an appointment at the end of the month, for my tongue. You think I should get studs too?" I questioned, him.

"Yes, it would look good."

"Thank you, I love you." I walked back into my room, grabbing my backpack, and my shoes.

"You too." He smiles leaning against my doorway, I decided on just some white converse. For first days, I always went simple. I was wearing a white spaghetti strap. It was cropped, shining off a belly ring shaped in the form of a heart. And for jeans, they were just some dickies.

I grabbed my standard black board, walking down the stairs with Tom. Good thing our moms we're already at work, or else we'd be bombarded with photos.

I opened the fridge, grabbing myself a red-bull and a monster for Tom. "Which flavor?" I asked, him my hand hovering between mango and strawberry. "Mango, today." He sat on the couch, putting on his shoes. I grabbed a pineapple red-bull for myself. Closing the fridge, again. We quickly made our way to the car, getting in.

"Oh hey, I wanted to ask you." I mentioned, as Tom pulled out of the driveway.

He gives me a glance, telling me to talk. "Emerson, she's totally the girl isn't she?" I giggled a bit.

"What girl?" His brows furrowed. "The one you were talking to me about, when you were in my room. I've been trying to figure it out, is she the one?"

He stared at me intensely, stopping at a red light. "Yep. You caught me, she's the girl." Tom clears his throat, stopping his creepy staring.

"Oh my God! Really?" I got all excited, for him. "Mh-m." He brokenly, hummed. "You should definitely ask her out." I patted his shoulder, encouragingly. "I don't know." He says, unsure of himself. "Why not?" I sighed.

"I don't think she's the girl, i'm not looking for fucks anymore." He does a U-turn, noticing he went the wrong way.

"Oh she's a total sweetheart, just think about it." I smiled. "Sure." He nodded.

Three periods, had gone by. It was about to be lunch.

I pulled out my phone, to text Nate. I haven't seen him all day.

"Lookin' for me?" His figure suddenly appeared. "Oh, hi!" I put my phone into my back pocket, pulling him into a hug. He gave me a quick kiss, muttering a "Hi."

"How're your classes, today?" He let his hands, linger on my waist. I leaned back against the lockers. "It was good, for the most part. You?" I poked at his stomach. "It's been alright, let's compare our schedules." Nate got his schedule out of his back pocket.

"Last two periods together, if you include lunch that's three." He smiles at me. "Oh cool, Tom and Emerson are both in our next period too." I pulled at some of his hair, as we waited for the lunch bell to ring.

"Little, friend group we got don't we?" He teases.

"This is so boring." I huffed, the desks were set off into different groups in the classroom. I pulled Tom, Emerson and Nate into this group with me.

This is a friendship forming, I can feel it.

"Yo." Kai, squats in front of my desk. Knocking on it. "Hey Kai, what's up?" I smiled, Kai was a nice guy. I've known him since middle school, I was the type of person to always have someone walking with them to class. Always, had someone to sit by in class. Just didn't care enough, to make them close friends.

"Some friends and I, were going drinking tonight. You down? Maybe after I could take you home." He suggested, I laugh and shook my head.

"I'm good."

"Define, I'm good." He put on a disappointed face. I looked to everyone at the table, staring at me to say what I would say. I sucked in a breath. "I'm kind of in a situation right now." I tried to find the right words. "And if I wanted to hang out with someone, you would not be my first pick."

"Situation, meaning complicated. Complicated means your single."

"Fuck off." Nate and Tom, scoff at the same time.

"Oh, this is your complication." Kai let's out a hearty laugh. "See, it's really not complicated. Maybe, to you. I don't know, you could just be stupid or something. That is my best friend." I pointed to Tom.

"And he, is not my best friend. Anymore questions?" I was now pointing at Nate.

"Also, you should really get in your seat. It seems, some of your brain cells, have dropped. Yet..." I clicked my teeth, looking to the side.

"I guess your balls haven't." I sighed, dramatically. "Cause clearly, if they did you would've walked away the first time I said no."

"You're prissy." He rolls his eyes, walking away.

I wasn't prissy when you wanted to fuck me, but okay.
