Sorry for the change in the way it's written. I find it easier to write like this. Really long chapter today.

I turned the corner to my block. Walking up to my door, I looked across the street. I waved, but he didn't see me. I shrugged, and went inside. Well, tried. It was locked. There were no cars in the driveway, and they used the garage for Adrian's friends.

"Damnit," I whispered.

I had nowhere to go, until I thought of something. I could ask to go to Asa's place. He was still outside. Looking both ways, I crossed the street. The wind blew, it made me shiver. Goosebumps covered my arms, I pulled my jacket tighter.

"H-hey, Asa," I called out to him over the howling wind. He was just about to go inside. He turned around, and waved at me to come inside.

"It's freezing out here, come on in," he gestured. His icy blue eyes were glued onto me. I approached him and his mansion of a home.

I entered the door first, because Asa wouldn't budge when I told him to.

"Ladies first, always," he snickered.

I giggled, and went inside.

We sat on a couch, when a motherly voice called out to the living room.

"Asa, you home babe? Ace?" the woman called.

"Yeah, mum. I have a friend over," he replied.

"You're here early," he smiled. "No one home?"

"Yeah, uh, they haven't made me a key yet," I sighed, rubbing my legs to get warm.

"Do you need a blanket?" He offered, scooting in to close the gap.

"I'm fine, thanks."

"Hold on," he said, getting up.

A few moments later, he came in with a large comforter.

"Here."

I thanked him, and we continued to talk.

"Are you wearing that?" He asked.

"Does it matter?" I giggled.

"I guess not, but you and Paris look like you guys wear the same size and stuff, so, I'm sure you could borrow something if you wanted to look all dressed up," Asa said. "You should call her."

I took the sheet of notebook paper out of my bag. My iPhone was still in my pocket, so I got it out and dialed the number. One... Two.. Three.. She picked up.

"Hello?" She asked, "Who is this?"

"Paris? It's [y/n]. Hey, I'm here with Asa."

"Oh, cool, what's up?"

"Well, I'm not really dressed up, and I'm locked out of my house. I know it's kind of soon, but do you think I could borrow something?"

She laughed, "Sure, no problem. I can pick you up now, if you want."

"Really? Thanks. Well, I'll see you soon, I guess."

"No problem."

She hung up.

"She's on her way," I smiled at Asa. He did too.

"Asa! Asa!" We heard young voice call, tiny footsteps pattering across the tile.

"What's up, Lox?" He asked in a sweet tone.

"Come play with me!" the little voice said, turning the corner and showing her face.
