It'd been a week after the kiss. That sweet, flawless kiss. The memory of that quick moment lingered in my thoughts. Though so did the realization that he was drunk, and it meant nothing. But those words that he chose to say, they burned. In a good way, though. It made me feel special; no one had ever said anything like that.
Throughout my week at school, I had only met a few people, but no one was as close to me as the other three already. Kyle and I talked a little, but he was always writing or drawing in his book. Every time I tried to sneak a peek of what was in it, he looked at me with an "are-you-actually-serious?" expression, to which I turned away.
Today being a Saturday, I had no plans. Although I had visited London before, I never got the chance to sight-see. Taking the opportunity of my trusting aunt leaving me alone for the day (with her permission to leave the house, obviously), I decided to go out. I wasn't thinking of going alone, so I thought of calling Paris, and so I did. She agreed to meet me at a coffee shop in the city, she'd text me details.
When I arrived at the café, Paris was already there. She waved at me, signaling me to come over.
"Hey, you," she laughed.
"Hi there," I smiled.
"I can't wait to show you around!" She chimed.
With that, we ordered our drinks. I got a sweet tea, which I was surprised they had, and a small bag of chocolate-covered sunflower seeds. We chatted for a bit, and I really felt like we were going to be close. We talked about going to Camden Town, but we'd have to take the tube. Eventually we just decided to hang out at Hyde Park.
"What do you say we invite the boys?" She smiled her perfect smile.
"Why not?" I agreed. I was ready to face Asa and talk to him about it, because whenever I brought it up, he would change the subject unintentionally. Well, that I knew of.
Paris eventually rang Aramis, who by luck was hanging out with Asa. They were going to meet us here.

At last, the boys came, and we arrived at the park. It was beautiful. There were people in every direction. We looked around.
"This is your first time being here? How?" Asa asked, smiling. A dimple popped in his cheek. I chuckled and shrugged. We walked around, looking at pretty statues and fountains. A while later, we stumbled upon a public fountain. Children were splashing in it, some mothers scolding them to be careful, guiding their kid away, and some on their phones.
"Aw, that's reminds me," I stated, "How are your little sisters?"
"They're alright," Asa replied. We turned our heads so see Paris and Aramis walking in the other direction. I looked at Asa, confused. He shrugged, shifting his coat and pushing up his glasses. "Marlie's been a bit of a pain, but we're okay."
I laughed. "I imagine she's--" I started. Asa playfully shoved me towards the fountain, and I lost my balance. I fell into the freezing cold water. It was December!
"Asa!" I shrieked. "You asshole!"
He threw his head back, laughing. As he was distracted, I grabbed his arm and pulled him in with me. His electric blue eyes widened.
"No fair!" He yelled.
We both scrambled to get out of the chilly water. My hands were numb and red. I sneezed.
"I'm so sorry, that was a dick move. Want to go to my place? You can borrow my moms clothes or whatever," he smiled.
"It was, a little," I said, "Sure, but can we hurry? I'm kind of dying," I added, snickering. "And are you forgetting that I live across the street?"
He shook his head, pulling out his phone, luckily covered in a Lifeproof case like mine, and called someone.
"Let's get to the bathrooms, text Pears or A and let them know we'll be gone, okay?" He said.
I did, and Paris replied with, '*facepalm*, that's so like him.' It made me laugh. Asa and I hurried to the bathrooms, waiting on the vehicle. Eventually, he opened my door for me. I got inside, and Asa sat beside me. We buckled up.
"[y/n], this is my brother, Morgan," he introduced.
"Hi there," I shivered. Morgan motioned for Asa to open the trunk door and grab a towel, in which he did, tossing me one. I wrapped up in it.
Morgan turned up the heat, "Smooth move, Ace."
"Oh, shut up," Asa replied. I laughed.
The car ride was mostly silent, with soft music playing in the background. I was so warm and comfy that I started to fall asleep. Right on the brink of my vision fading black, my phone chimed. It made me jump. It was Paris, sending me a picture of a very sad Aramis with a caption of "when bae can't hang." I chuckled, and replied with "lol". Soon, we were at his house, in his garage. We unbuckled, and got out of the car. Asa took my towel and threw it at his washing machine. He hurriedly got the door and led me inside.
"Hello de- why're you wet, hon?" Mrs. Butterfield asked.
"Long story. Oh, mum, you've met [y/n] before, right? Can she borrow some clothes?" He insisted.
"I'd hate to be a burden, and, once again, I live right across the street," I replied.
He shrugged, "I don't want you to leave though, I'll be lonely." He pulled a puppy dog face.
"Whatever," I snickered. "Can I just borrow some pants, maybe some makeup, Mrs. Butterfield? I'll hijack one of Asa's hoodies."
"Sure," she said. "And call me Jacqueline!"
I nodded, thanking her. Asa showed me to her room and wardrobe, locking the door behind him. It was nice, seeing as how he cared for people. He didn't even notice how courteous he was. It was sweet.
I found the bathroom after getting some leggings that looked my size. Looking in the mirror, I saw how runny my makeup looked. I undressed completely to dry off, and did so. I looked at my stomach, and noticed the still quite large bruises. Hopefully, they wouldn't last much longer. I dressed back, just putting on my bra and wrapping a towel around it. Someone knocked, as if on cue, on the bedroom door. I cracked it open, and Asa stood there. he handed me a black hoodie.
"Thanks, dude," I smiled.
"Any time."

I finally got warm and dry, and came out of the bathroom ready. I found Asa's room, and walked in. He turned when he heard the door creak. It took me a minute to notice he was topless, and his hair was damp. I have to admit, it was quite attractive. He stood there and smirked.
"Take a picture, baby. It might last longer," he said with a wink.
A warm blush settled on my cheekbones. "Screw you," I rolled my eyes. He laughed, pulling out a grey and black long sleeved sweater, putting it over his toned body.
"Movie?" He asked.
