The time would be 1:45 am, Nomad would've been woken up from the sound of rolling thunder that sounded like it was right above them. Slowly Nomad would wake up as the sound of rain hitting the metal container would slowly fill his ears. With one eye open, he would look around to see if anyone else was awake yet he was the only one up. He would look down at Poli who was still laying her head in his lap. He would give her a light pat on the head before he'd take off his back pack carefully so he wouldn't wake Poli nor anyone else up.
After he took his backpack off, Nomad would carefully move Poli's head from his lap to his somewhat soft bag, then he would stand up and stretches a bit before walking to the door and cracked it to see that it was pouring outside. Seems like a storm had rolled in while they were asleep and lucky enough the container was bone dry.
Nomad would look at the storm for a bit before looking back at the rest of the team, after some thinking he would exit the container and slowly closes the door behind him. His uniform would quickly get wet from the storm, the rain felt nice against his skin as it dawned on him the he hasn't felt rain on him since he was brought here, or even before that.
Nevertheless, Nomad would just stand there and take it in before he would look over at the warehouses that were about a hundred meters away. Before making up his mind he walked over to the edge of the port where there would be a cliff face into the water. Nomad would look down a bit, he had an intrusive thought of just jumping in the dark and stormy water below, but when he'd look back up he would see 7 bodies floating around 10 feet in front of him. Nomad would look at them as the storm raged on, however he wouldn't be afraid or confused, this was a familiar sight and he would recognize them.
They were former squadmates, a past he wish he could forget, but one that he can't let go, no matter how hard he tried. He would stare at them until lightning struck close by causing them to leave.
After that episode he had, Nomad would stand there for a bit more before he would start to make his way over to the warehouses. During the walk over the door to the container would've been opened slightly before closing again, however Nomad hadn't heard or noticed due to the storm and the distance of where he was to the container.
Nomad would've made his way to the first warehouse in a row, once he entered it, he would turn on the white light on his MBlock and looked around for a bit, there was nothing of interest even after he would look through it for anything of note, but it was just mostly destroyed boxes and trash all over the place. As Nomad would crouched behind a box looking at some of the papers and miscellaneous things on the floor, he would hear something break near somewhere in the warehouse.
He would turn off his white light before reaching back and pulling his quad nods out and attaching them to the mount on his helmet and pulled them down. He'd slowly scan around the warehouse before seeing a figure, unknown if it was human or not, he would slowly orbit the figure while trying to not make any noise to alert the figure. Unfortunately for Nomad, he would end up very lightly stepping on a piece of glass, which would echo throughout the warehouse. He would pause and continued to look at the figure with his rifle still pointed its way, as Nomad would put his finger on the trigger ready for a firefight the figure would call out.
"Commander Nomad is that you?" there would be some more silence as he would recognize the voice. He'd pull his quads up before shining the white light at the figure as a sort of confirmation, the figure would be non other then Neon.
