"without a sound, yeah, you're calling me
and i don't think it's very fair"
- I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor by; The Arctic MonkeysConie walked through the hall with an arm wrapped around Jane's shoulder as she rambled about his predicament.
"I just don't understand why she would put you in a class with them," Jane said for maybe the hundredth time. "I know she's teaching the class so you'll be fine but who knows what they might do! What if they-"
"Jane," Conie cut her off once they were a few feet away from the classroom. "I'll be okay. Even if they try something I can clearly hold my own."
He made a vague motion at his face with his bandaged knuckles.
"Besides," He continued. "You still have to come back and get that thing signed for Ben's coronation so then you can see just how okay I am."
She smiled up at him, "Right, you'll be just fine."
She was definitely trying more to convincing herself than Conie.
"See ya around?"
"See ya!"
Conie pressed a kiss to her forehead before she walked away.
Most people thought Conie and Jane were dating because of how touchy they were but Conie is super gay so they definitely were not.
Not that the school knew that, only Jane knew that. He's not exactly ready to go telling everyone yet.
Anyways.
Conie put his hands in his pockets and entered the classroom. As soon as his footsteps were heard the four kids turned to look at him. There were two boys and two girls. They looked quite confused.
Understandable though, Conie knew how he looked. He had your stereotypical prince features and was wearing a button down, dress pants, and clean converse but he also had clearly been in a fight.
He took a seat two rows behind the girls and then pulled out his book, Red, White and Royal Blue, and started reading.
They kept looking at him.
"You know I'd ask if your parents taught you that it was rude to stare but the answer to that is pretty obvious," Conie said casually, not looking up from his book.
"Well that was mean," The girl with purple hair replied. "I like it. But you do know this is-"
"Remedial Goodness 101," He cut her off. "Yeah, I'm aware."
The girls, only slightly satisfied, turned back to the front of the room.
"Why are you in here," one of the boys asked.
Conie looked up from his book to the boy with a blank stare. He pointed at his face.
"Did you win?"
"I wouldn't be here if I didn't."
The boy chuckled and gave Conie a playboy like smirk.
Oh he would definitely be a problem for Conie. He had nice long hair, the most stunning face, and a sleeveless jacket that showed really toned arms.
Oh fuck me, Conie thought to himself before looking back at his book not trusting his voice to say anything else to the boy.
The boy then turned back to the front of class.

Conie did not pay any attention to Fairy godmother as she rambled about goodness and asked questions with such obvious answers. She had yet to call on him so he assumed he was safe and could just read his book.
Conie only started to pay attention to his surroundings when a blur of blue passed his peripheral vision. It was Jane hurrying to her mother, very clearly nervous.
"Hello, dear one," Fairy godmother smiled.
"Hi," Jane replied shoving the clipboard into her mother's hands. "You need to sign off on early dismissal for the coronation."
"Everyone here remembers my daughter, Jane," Fairy godmother spoke as she wrote.
"Mom, no," Jane exclaimed, looking truly frightened now.
Conie couldn't help the slight smirk of amusement on his lips. Though if any of the VKs tried anything he will start another fight.
Conie ripped a small piece of paper from his notebook and began writing.
"It's okay," Fairy godmother smiled again, handing Jane the clipboard back. "Jane, this is everyone."
"Hi," She shakily greeted. "That's okay, don't mind me. As you were."
She hurried past the VKs and met Conie's eye, he smirked and winked at her before handing her the note.
see totally fine
no need to worry
- conie :)She smiled at him and took it before continuing to hurry out of the classroom.
The two girls, Mal and Evie, gave him a curious look. They clearly wanted to know the relationship between Conie and Jane.
Fairy godmother just gave him a pointed look.
Conie ignored all three of them and went back to his book.
"Let's continue! You find a vial of poison. Do you, A, put it in the king's wine? B, paint it on an apple? Or C, turn it over to the proper authorities?"
The two boys', Jay and Carlos, hands shot straight up. Carlos even made an ooh noise to get Fairy godmother's attention.
"Jay," Fairy godmother picked.
"C," Jay said so smugly that it was going to play on repeat in Conie's head. "You turn it over to the proper authorities."
"I was gonna say that," Carlos pouted.
"But I said it first," Jay mocked. "Come here!"
With that Jay dragged Carlos onto the desk and started giving him an aggressive nuggie.
"Ow!"
"Come on, who said it first? Who said it first?"
Conie shook his head, they were pretty strange the VKs. But hey who was Conie to judge, he was in this class all the same.
"Boys," Fairy godmother called while tapping his stick. "Boys! I am gonna encourage you to use that energy on the tourney field."
Jay stopped the nuggie but continued to lay on top of Carlos.
"Oh, no. That's okay," Carlos replied casually as if he wasn't being crushed. "Whatever that is, We'll... We'll pass."
The two boys then separated and took their seats again.
"Oh! Speaking of tourney," Fairy godmother's voice took a much happier tone as she spoke. "Let's have one of our co-captains, Conie, answer the next question."
Conie looked up from his book with raised eyebrows and noticed the VKs looking at him strangely. He just waited for Fairy godmother's question.
"When someone says something rude to us do we, A, punch them in the face-"
Oh for fuck's sake could she be any more obvious?
"B, calmly walk away? Or C, say something back?"
Conie blinked, "B."
She smiled and clapped lightly but Conie only focused on the light smirk on Jay's face as he looked at him.
