"how could you hurt a little kid?
i can't forget, i can't forgive you"
- Family Line by; Conan GrayConie leaned against Ben as Coach Jenkins rattled off instructions.
"Jay, Ben, offense. Chad, Conie, you two are defense. Taylor, you're the shooter!"
"Right, coach," The boys replied.
Ben and Conie exchanged fist bumps before heading onto the field, and then Conie purposely tripped his twin.
"Conie!" Chad groaned.
Conie ignored him and watched with light amusement as Carlos confusedly walked through the field, Coach yelling at him to move it. Conie put his helmet on once Carlos was out of the way.
When the scrimmage finally started he did attempt to stop Jay but Jay practically flung him two feet into the air.
Conie groaned as he laid on the ground. He continued to watch as Jay pretty much tore the field apart, easily getting past everyone and then scoring a goal.
He chuckled watching Jay doing a celebration dance.
"What just happened," Conie heard someone ask. "Who is this guy?"
Conie got up and hurried back over to Coach with the rest of the team as the scrimmage had clearly ended.
"You," Coach yelled at Jay. "Get over here! What do you call that? I call that raw talent. Conie, after practice you show him the rule book, clearly something he's never seen. Welcome to the team, son."
Conie smirked at Jay and Jay smirked back right back at him, they were definitely going to cause trouble together.
"You sure Conie should be the one to show him that," Chad asked and Conie rolled his eyes.
"He's co-captain and I'm the coach, Chad. Don't question me," Coach then turned to Carlos. "You ever thought about band?"
Conie cringed slightly and Jay laughed at Carlos.
"I'll work with him, coach," Ben spoke up.
Coach nodded, "All right. Let's run that again."
The boys jumped and hollered as they got on the field again.
Jay made sure to shoulder check Chad before getting into position. Conie chuckled and Chad rubbed his shoulder.
What a guy, Conie thought to himself about Jay.

The next day of school was Conie's least favorite schedule. He didn't have any classes with Jane, except for english, or Ben. Which means he didn't have his extrovert shields or impulse control. The latter was extremely important as people would not stop asking questions about the fight and treating him like a bomb. So fucking annoying.
But at least Fairy godmother did tell them they had done great today and could have the last few minutes of class to themselves. So naturally, Conie was reading.
He read his book with furrowed brows as it seemed Prince Henry wasn't going to get his happy ending. That worried Conie because if a character couldn't achieve that how was Conie supposed to?
The bell rang and Conie sighed, putting his book back in his bag and then slug it over his shoulder.
Jane was waiting outside the classroom for him looking extremely pleased.
