"when you get a taste can you tell me
what's my flavor i don't believe in god
but i believe that you're my savior"
- Sailor Song by; Gigi Prez

Once cotillion had finally ended, it was the longest one in Auradon history, Jay and Conie walked away from the ship with the rest of their friends.

Everyone still smiling and laughing with each other.

Conie walked behind everyone for a moment. He watched Carlos shyly take Jane's hand in his own, Doug put his arm around Evie's waist, and Ben and Mal continue doing a little dance together.

It made the prince smile to himself, he never would have thought that one day he'd have more friends than just Ben and Jane.

Or that he'd be wearing a blue suit someone else made for him.

Jay threw his arm around Conie's shoulders, "What's got you smiling, princess?"

"Nothin really," Conie shrugged, looking at Jay now.

He had taken out his bun not that long ago, there were little waves in his normally straight hair.

Conie thought he looked so handsome, he always looked best with his hair down.

"That's definitely not true," Jay stated with a tiny chuckle.

Conie chuckled as well.

"I'm just happy you guys are here," Conie told Jay. "I thought I'd have only two friends forever."

Jay stared at Conie, who was looking at their friends, for a moment.

"Wanna take a walk," He asked.

Conie turned to him, "What?"

"Wanna go for a walk," Jay repeated. "Like on the beach, I've never been to the beach."

"Sure," Conie said, a little confused at Jay's sudden change.

Jay smiled and patted Conie's shoulder before hurrying to catch up with Carlos as Jane slowed down to catch Conie.

Conie watched as the two boys exchanged words.

"You feeling alright," Jane asked.

Conie smiled at her, "Never better."

He wrapped an arm around her waist and kissed the top of her head.

"I'm glad you met Jay," Jane shared. "He makes you smile in a way no one else can. Not even me or Ben can compete with him."

Conie smiled as his cheeks heated up at Jane's words. She was right, Jay was definitely special to him.

"And I'm glad you met Carlos," Conie replied. "He makes you really happy. Ben and I can't do that."

Jane grinned at her best friend and Conie grinned back at her.

Things really were going great.

"Now you just have to ask him out," Jane teased.

Conie laughed and shook his head in response. Jane laughed too.

Conie and Jay's walk on the beach was pretty quiet.

Their friends had all wanted to go to bed, which Conie could understand, so nobody joined them.

Conie looked towards the sea where the stars and moon were reflected, it was a pretty sight and all thoughts of Uma had left his head.

"It's so pretty at night," Conie spoke up.

"Yeah," Jay agreed. "Now do you understand why I wanted to go for a walk?"

Conie laughed and turned to his friend who was already staring at him.

"Definitely," Conie stated.

There was silence again as the boys continued down the beach.

"Hey Conie," Jay started. "You know how you're gay?"

Conie raised his eyebrows, "Yeah, I know my own sexuality."

"Yeah, obviously," Jay continued awkwardly. "Well uh... I'm bi. I think."

"What do you mean by you think," Conie asked softly, placing a hand on Jay's shoulder.

"Well, I've always liked girls, that much I know," Jay explained. "But there's this one guy that I met recently who is... is like nobody else. I can't get him out of my head."

Conie felt his stomach drop a little.

"Can't get him out of your head in a good way or a bad way," Conie joked.

"The best way," Jay answered quickly. "He's so amazing and most of the time he doesn't even realize it. I want to make him realize it."

"Yeah that sounds like a crush alright," Conie replied. "A little more than crush if I'm being honest."

"Yeah, that's what I thought," Jay laughed a little.

Conie didn't laugh he just continued walking down the beach next to Jay. Who has a crush on a guy.

Why couldn't he just be straight, that I can handle.

"Aren't you going to ask who it is," Jay said after a few moments.

"I want to." Conie did not want to. "But you tell me when you're ready to."

Jay stopped and gently grabbed Conie's shoulders, turning the prince to face him.

Jay smiled lightly, "I have a crush on you."

"...What!?" Conie's cheeks went hot.

"I have a crush on you," Jay repeated. "And I talked with Jane so I know you like me back."

Conie felt his cheeks get a little hotter at the knowledge he didn't notice one of his best friends and Jay conspiring together.

"Well what am I supposed to say if you already know I like you," Conie asked.

Jay moved his hands from Conie's shoulders to Conie's face. Jay gently rubbed his thumbs against Conie's cheek bones.

"How about you kiss me," Jay replied teasingly. "If you're okay that."

Conie wrapped his arms around Jay's torso and pulled him closer.

Conie smiled, "I'm more than okay with that."

Jay smiled back and pressed their foreheads together before pressing their lips together.

The kiss was soft and slow and both boys were smiling into it.

When they pulled away Conie couldn't help but giggle from happiness.

"What?" Jay asked, still smiling.

Conie shrugged, "I'm just happy."

"So am I," Jay said.

Conie and Jay stared at each other for a moments, openly appreciating each other.

"So are we like boyfriends now," Jay quietly questioned.

"Do you want us to be?"

"Absolutely," Jay answered very fast.

Conie laughed and pressed another kiss to Jay.

"Boyfriends it is then," He murmured against Jay's lips.

Jay grinned and kissed Conie back. The two of them never wanting to be way from each other again.

And they never were.
