Chapter 2:

Megan’s point of view

“”beep beep” my alarm clock went off.

 It was Monday morning; the weekend had gone by extremely fast. I shut off my alarm clock and slowly got out of bed. Once I was out of bed, I headed downstairs for breakfast.

“Morning meg” my dad greeted me as I sat down at the kitchen table

“Morning dad” I replied

“What would you like for breakfast today?” my dad asked

“Eggs please” I said looking down at my phone

“Sure eggs are a great way to start off a Monday morning” my dad said as he started to cook the eggs

As dad made breakfast I checked my messages I had two one from my best friend Sarah who asked me if I wanted to go to the mall after school. And the other one was from James, one of the guys on the hockey team he wanted me to ask my dad if there was practise and if there was he wanted me to ask if the new guy was coming.

“Dad, James just texted me Is there practise today?” I asked my dad as he set the plate of eggs in front of me

“Yeah there is after school till 5:00” dad said as he sat down across from me

“Ok I will tell him that and also he wanted to know if the new guy was practising tonight too” I said as I ate my eggs

“Yeah he is” dad said

“Ok” I said as I texted James what my dad had said as I put my plate away I realised I forgot to answer Sarah’s text. So I grabbed my phone off the table and texted her as I went up the stairs to my room.

I told her that I couldn’t go to the mall after school because I had to help my dad with his practise and that maybe on Wednesday because its then next day I have free. She said that was fine and that she would see me at school.

After I said bye I set my phone on my bed, I grabbed my clothes for today and went to the bathroom to shower. When I was showered I got dressed, grabbed my book bag and headed downstairs.

As I reached the bottom of the stairs I noticed my dad on his phone with a worried expression on his face.

“Dad are you ok?” I asked him

“Yeah I’m fine, I was just looking at the teams we are playing this year” he said walking towards the door

Of course, he’s worried about his hockey team as usual.

“Oh” I said as we walked to the car

“Are you going to help me with practise after school?” my dad asked as he drove us to school

“Yup” I said

“Ok good I’m not sure about this new guy so can you get him to do the tryout routine thing that you came up with last year” my dad asked me

“Sure, are my skates still in your office” I asked and he nodded

Once we got to the school my dad parked the car in the teacher’s parking lot and we walked inside. I walked straight to my locker to grab my textbooks.

After I grabbed them I closed my locker and headed towards my homeroom, on the way I bump into someone. And we both fell. I looked up to see someone I hadn’t recognised but boy was he attractive. I started to pick my books when he started to talk to me.

“I’m sorry” he said helping me up

Oh my god attractive and sweet this guy is a god!

“It’s ok I should have been watching where I was going” I said

“I should have too, well I’m Nick” he said

I wonder if this is the nick that’s on the hockey team, I hope not.

“I’m Megan” I said

“Nice to meet you, who do you, have for homeroom?” he asked me

“Leblanc” I told him

“So do I, do you think you could show me where it is I’m kind of lost” he asked

“Sure it’s this way” I pointed to the way I was going in before we bumped into each other.

“Ok lead the way clumsy” he said

“Hey you bump into me” I said

“I know I’m just messing with you” he said as we walked to homeroom

Once we got to homeroom I sat down at my seat and nick sat down next to me.

“What are your next two classes” he asked

“Biology and math” I told him

“Same, will you show me where they are so I don’t get lost again” he asked

“haha sure, wouldn’t want you getting lost again” I said

He didn’t have time to say anything before the bell rang and Mrs. Leblanc entered the classroom.

“Good morning class, we have new student today his name is Nick Carter is he here” she asked and nick stood up.

Wait, Nick Carter why does that name sound so familiar.

“Well, nick why don’t you introduce yourself and say something about you” Mrs. Leblanc said

“Hi I’m Nick I play hockey and I’m on this schools hockey team now” Nick said before sitting back down in the seat next to me

Crap that’s why his name sounded so familiar, he’s the new player on the hockey team. He’s going to get the same speech and be told my dad’s number one rule like all the other players.  And that’s makes him off limits which really sucks , why do all the attractive guys have to be hockey players
