"Mr Park wanted to be here to show you your new place, but he had some meetings to attend to. So, you're stuck with me and dear mother!"

Rachel teased as they drove to the dorm (y/n) would be moving into. She had once again volunteered her time to help the young man out, still intent on making him feel welcomed to the company. Both mother and son appreciated this as the transition was already tough, doing it alone would've been a nightmare, especially if (y/n) was independent on his working mum.

"I can't believe you're moving out already, what will I do without my baby!"

His mum pretended to cry, ending her sentence with a laugh as she slapped her hand on (y/n)'s arm. She knew jokes would ease the nerves of her quickly growing son, who was being thrusted out of his comfort zone and into the deep unknowns of the world, well... besides the being fed... having your schedule managed for you... but the world nonetheless. She made sure his manager was reliable and patient, as she knew he'd need the support and nobody likes talking to their mum about their feelings right?

"Your new manager will be meeting us there, he has a little warming gift for you I think. So make sure to be polite and use your manners okay? Remember how I raised you."

"Yea, listen to your mother!"

Both of the women chuckled at (y/n)'s expense, and they relished the moment they heard him groan in annoyance.

"At least I'll get some peace and quiet away from you two"

He huffed, the two women again bursting out laughing at his remark, as if to say
'ha! In your dreams'

But they stopped as they finally had to ask.

"How do you feel though, you'll be living alone since you're not in a group... Won't it get lonely?"

Rachel expressed in concern

"You've never lived away from home, let alone by yourself so it's going to be a big change"

She had gone into full big sister mode and honestly, it was heartwarming to say the least, he has only met this person a few days ago and it already felt like he could depend on her for anything, regardless of it's intensity.
He shifted a little in his seat, the leather sticking to his arm as it was rested on the cup holder as he thought of how to give a voice to his current thoughts.

"I suppose it might... but you guys live in the city so it's only a bus stop away right? Besides. I'll be busy with training too so... I won't have time to be lonely."

They smiled hearing this.. it was as if he had grown so much in the little time he had to adjust to everything. But before the could retort, they pulled up outside a high-end looking apartment building, a man around his mid thirties, stood waiting outside.

Upon seeing the car pull up, he approached and opened the door and helped (y/n)'s mother climb out. (y/n) waited for cars to pass before getting out himself and did the same as the man did for his mother, for Rachel, making sure she didn't get T-boned by a passing car.

"Such a gentleman!"

Rachel said with a smug smile on her face. This had become comforting for both her and (y/n), joking around like  they had grown up together their whole lives. It felt familiar.

"You must be (y/n), my name is Seong Minwoo. From today, I will be your manager. Let's work well together!"

The man said, adding a small bow on the end to show respect to the young man, an action (y/n) mirrored, albeit a little lower. Wanting to let the man know he had a deep respect for how much he would be doing for him.
