Truth is Out

"Naruto, what happened!" Sasuke asked getting up from the table.

"I don't want to talk about it," Naruto replied coldly walking up the stairs. Everyone at the table glanced at each other in worry, but continued eating. Naruto took a shower and changed, then came back down to eat. The boy looked exhausted and gloomy. They all stopped talking and watched the boy. Naruto walked over and sat next to Sasuke.

"Did you win?" Kakashi asked breaking the silence. Naruto nodded his head in a 'yes' motion slowly and looked down at his plate. He began eating his food quietly and slowly.

"Can you tell us what happened?" Sakura asked.

"I... umm... I kind of... sort off... killed him," Naruto answered quietly.

"WHAT?!" Sasuke yelled standing up from his seat once more. Naruto looked away in a shame.

"You did?" Sakura asked slowly.

"Yes..." Naruto replied and continued eating. The others just stared at the boy in disbelief. Kakashi wasn't too surprised because he knew Kurama had taken over.

"It's not uncommon in the ninja world," Kakashi explained and began eating. Sasuke and Sakura looked at Naruto who was still looking away, and then back at Kakashi.

"I guess your right," Sasuke replied and sat back down to continue eating. While Sasuke was eating, he felt a slump on his shoulder. Sasuke looked over and saw a sleeping blonde resting on his shoulder. He didn't bother to move him because he knew the boy was exhausted... or at least that's what he told himself.

Kakashi and Sakura saw this and smirked at each other.

"Since there are only two spare bedrooms, Sasuke and Naruto, you two will share one, while Sakura takes the other and I will be on the couch," Kakashi explained as he put his empty plate in the sink.

"No way. I'm not sharing a room with this dobe," Sasuke replied.

"That dobe is laying on your shoulder," Kakashi mumbled back. Sakura laughed and Sasuke just glared at them with a trace of red on his face. Tazuna, Tsunami, and Inari excused themselves and they went off to their rooms leaving team 7 alone.

"Ok Kakashi. I want answers," Sasuke demanded.

"About?" Kakashi asked knowing damn well what he is talking about.

"I want to know why Zabuza was so scared of Naruto and why he was calling him dangerous and worth a lot of money," Sasuke said looking over at the snoring blond on his shoulder.

"Im not allowed to say. SS class secret. The only one who can tell you is Naruto," Kakashi answered.

"Well then, wake up your little boyfriend Sasuke," Sakura said with a smirk. Sasuke glared at her blushed.

"He is not my boyfriend, Sakura," Sasuke replied coldly while looking like a tomato.

"Yah, I guess not. Yet," Sakura responded and laughed.

"Gotta love the yet," Kakashi added with a smirk. Sasuke glared daggers at them, but let it go. 'Fuck her,' Sasuke thought as he covered his red hot face. Naruto suddenly yawned and rubbed his eyes while still on Sasuke shoulder.

"Morning," Naruto mumbled quietly and nuzzled into Sasuke shoulder not knowing where he is. This little gesture of Naruto's didn't help Sasuke's blushing face.

"Umm... Naruto," Sakura said, on the verge of laughing. Naruto opened one eye and looked around.

"Where am I-" Naruto asked but cut himself off when he saw something blue underneath him. Naruto sat up quickly and realized where he was. Naruto blushed madly and hid his face in his hands.

"Sorry!" Naruto apologized.

"It's fine," Sasuke managed to reply while his just as red face.

"Anyways, Naruto, what happened back in the forest?" Sakura asked. Naruto looked over at her and replied,

"what do you mean?"

"You froze up once he called you a demon, he said you were worth a lot of money, he said you were dangerous, and YOU KILLED THAT MOTHER FUCKING S RANKED CRIMINAL!" Sakura shouted with a hint of pride at the boys achievements. Naruto looked down at his feet thinking of what to say.

"You should tell them Naruto. They deserve to know," Kakashi said putting his hands into his pockets. Naruto furrowed his eyebrows as he thought harder. Sasuke and Sakura just glared at him not daring to look away.

"Fine. But I need you to promise me something," Naruto replied.

"What is it?" Sasuke asked.

"You need to promise me you will not tell another living soul, and you will not hate me," Naruto said quietly. Sasuke and Sakura hesitated to respond, but did anyways.

"Yes we promise," Sasuke replied.

"Ok fine. You all know the story about how the village was attacked by the kyuubi, or the nine tails fox on October 10th, right? Well, guess when my birthday is? October 10th," Naruto started. Sasuke and Sakura glanced back and forth between each other worried about what he is getting on about.

"The forth hokage wasn't able to kill the kyuubi because he is made out of chakra, so he did the only thing he could. He sealed it inside a newborn child. Me. I have been training with Kurama, the nine tails, for years now, and I am able to borrow his chakra as I please. That is why I eat and sleep so much.

I was able to kill Zabuza because I used Kurama. And Sasuke, when you saw me on the way to the hokage's office with the man who threatened me, he was doing it because of Kurama. Some people know he is sealed inside of me, and accuse me of being him. I'm not, I promise, but because I have him sealed inside of me, people do think I am him.

I didn't tell you guys because I thought you would think the same," Naruto explained and looked away in a shame.

He was so scared to see how the others would react. Naruto began to feel tears well up in his eyes. His team was like his family and he didn't want to see them hate him.

'The dobe... my dobe really holds the nine tails?' Sasuke asked himself in shock.

"Your stupid if you think that we could think of you like they do. You're not them. You're not the nine tails. You are Naruto Uzumaki," Sasuke said smiled kindly at Naruto.

"I didn't know you trained with her. Cool," Kakashi complemented and pulled out his pervy book.

"Now is not the time Kakashi! But Naruto, there is no way we would hate you for something you can't control!" Sakura said smiling at the blond. Naruto whipped away his tears and smiled as well. He was so relieved that his teammates didn't see him the way the villagers do.

"Thanks guys," Naruto thanked. He noticed a piece of cow fur hanging on the wall for decoration. He felt a weight build up in his stomach. He felt guilt rising in his stomach as he remembers the fight with Zabuza. His smile faded as he remembers what he did.
